I loved that book! I gave it 4 stars only because there was not conflict. I like at least a little bit of angst. lol

Review: Probably less than 3 stars but I tend to save 2 or less for truly crap books and this was not that. The concept of the book was very good. The way it was written and carried out...not so much. It felt...I can't think of word that doesn't come across as super insulting and I hate doing that so I'll say maybe not as mature as others I've read. I never fully understood what went so wrong between these two that they had to be apart and in pain for so long which made it very frustrating. Grrr, I don't know, someone else find a better way to explain it!!

Yeah, thanks Shannon, I'm still trying to figure out how much of a "stickler" to be. =)

Review: I really didn't enjoy this story. I got grossed out with the scenes of the intestines being ripped out of the body by birds. I like books about Myths and Legends but I just couldn't get into this story. I felt like Pandora was kind of annoying and naive

Review: I just really loved this book. I had a smile on my face pretty much the entire time. Reg and Jeremy were just so charming, separately and together. It's a tad simplistic and predictable, the "bad guys" are obvious. But it ends up not even being bothersome. I was dreading some forced angst, but it never came thankfully. Just a really nice, sweet, comfort read.

Review: This was a prequel to a series. It’s the story of a bride, Cait, who travels to her betrothed castle without warning him beforehand. Her father and his evil adviser have made her take a blood oath that she will kill her husband after a month of marriage (that’s not a spoiler because we learn that in the beginning of the book). An important to the story line event happens because Cait stumbles into a fair taking place at the castle and she is incognito. There is a delightful kind of troubadour / traveler character who plays a fun and unique role in the story line. This prequel sets up a funny ghost and the dark magic that will continue through the rest of the series. It was a predictable but fun, quick read.

I really like the Kimani books. They are just good classic romance stories. Allison is a sexy cook trying to get away from a nasty past and ex-husband. She escapes to the mountains to find herself. Brock is a handsome neighbor who happens to be a private investigator type person. I liked the relationship between the two main characters. It did take Allison a little longer to warm up to Brock then I would've liked but if I had a bad marriage I might've been gun shy also.

I just need a break from "awesome macho cop"...Cronin's key at least has the paranormal angle to make it a little different.

lol doesn't it just suck when you find yourself reading one theme over and over and over and over?
Loveblood would be good, but I already have CK and HCT marked for April anyway.
I have like 10 books left for April and I'm already freaking out that I won't finish. I'm ridiculous.

Review:
This was a great book to read on the plane. It was light, not too much angst and just the right about of sizzle. I loved the start of this book, which finds the heroine getting married to a complete jerk that can’t even wait until the cake is cut before cheating on her. In the aftermath of the scene the bride, our heroine, makes we find the she’s raced off to a tropical island resort owned and operated by her brother-in-law (aka the hero). As the dust settles, the history between the hero and heroine are shared with us through a variety of ways, some reminiscing, some flash-backs, some internal monologues. This keeps the story moving but allows us to get a better feel for the characters, especially the heroine who I was having trouble understanding why she married the jerk in the first place.
I was a little disappointed with the hero’s response towards the end of the novel but have to admit that Jami Alden did keep his reaction to event s within his character. If I could write, I probably would have been tempted to get him to do something more romantic, and completely out of character which would have ruined the book. So well done Jami for not weakening the way I would have. There are a few supporting characters but this story does focus mainly on the hero and heroine which help make it a fast book to read.

Review:
It's never good when you accidentally start with book 4 in a series. It slowly dawned on me as I continued to read about support characters that it seemed I should know, that perhaps this was not a stand-a-lone book after all. Rather than being completely lost, as I should have been given I started at book 4, the relationship development between Reece and Roxy was easy to follow. And boy did they develop.
Both Roxy and Reece had suffered tragic events in their past that not only caused them some emotional torment, it also prevented them forming a relationship despite having feeling for each other for a number of years. As their relationship develops, it seems to help both of them heal some of the damage the past had inflicted. It was great to see the author create characters that had flaws, showed their weaknesses and became stronger together.
I also liked the mystery element in the book, which I won't spoil for those who choose to read it.

Review: Oh, holy crap. The first half of this book had me either in tears or beyond pissed off. What every parent fears could happen to their child. Accused of rape because they're 18 and had sex with someone younger. Add to that it happened to be a little rough and it makes a rape charge too easy. Poor Llew. I was so pissed off for him and sad and frustrated and did I say sad? Thankfully we don't experience too much of his prison time because what we did see was harsh. Then to get out and be free but still have everyone hate you...for doing nothing! Then we meet Shane. Oh Shane. I just loved the way he accepted Llew right from the start. So basically we got pain, hot sex, acceptance, love and the return of a best friend. So great!! Oh and the best name calling from the book is when Shane is yelling at Moss (Llew's ex that had him put away) "he was too much a sissified-no-balls-havin'-punk-ass-bitch". Yeaaaah!
