She really does engineer unique first meetings! I love them, they are definitely a fun part of the books. It was all business for Alec. He was not going to get involved, but he couldn't seem to help himself to the point of not wanting anyone else to guard her.
I like how Garwood is letting her couples meet. I've read way too many romantic suspense where the detective hero is investigating a murder that the heroine either discovered or is the prime suspect. This is kind of refreshing.
I loved the meet-cute. That's always one of my favorite parts. It's one of the reasons I don't like second chance romance novels, the meet-cute is over, the couple failed, and that is our starting off point, ughhh. In Garwood's romance novels, we seem to get couples starting fresh and that's what I like to read.
Anita wrote: "But there oi always the chance of a meet-cute in any romance, even a second chance one."That's true and I have read a few second chance romances that I liked, it's just not my favorite.
I love the "meet cute." It made me laugh when Regan laughed. I also love that Alec thought she wouldn't remember him when they meet officially. She surprised him.
