Read Books showing as Unread

I read a series called The Chronicles of St. Mary's. The author writes shorts stories that come between the books. I try to read them in order. However, there are new editions with new covers. When I look at the series list, it shows that I have not read the books with the new covers.
The books with the older covers are still in My Books as Read, but they don't come up in series order.
If I mark the new covers as READ it skews my reading challenge for this year.
How can I see this series in series order and know which ones that I have read?

Could you give a specific example of a book you're having this issue with?
I looked at the books and they look right to me.

This is a problem on some Series pages and also on some Listopia where the Want to Read is shown instead of the users actual shelving. I reported to support at least a month ago and they said they know about it. (Not that they will fix it, just that they know about it.)
