This was my first Reading by Lisa Sottoline. I was intrigued about Marcelo (A Brazilian from São Paulo just like me) and I can say that the description of his home place and soccer team were perfect. But on the other hand, some of the descriptions of outfits like clothes and shoes or boots that people wore were difficult to a 'foreigner reader' like me to catch, that's not to say when the cat is compared to American cookies or marshmellows and all. The book started out fine with a good suspense but then it turned into some 'unbelievable' sequel of events. I can say legal details have been well reseached but I keep wonderig even after my reading was done :!Are we Brazilian mothers overprotective maybe? Because I would never think of a mother of a tod flying long distance and stalking someone and doing crazy things to collect DNA if my kid adopted or not just were in the smallest risk.
