The hero and 2 of his friends are known as Their Disgraces for their lives of scandal. When Ashton decides to get married due to family pressure, he asks his friend Ripley to make sure everything goes well. So when Ripley sees the bride Olympia escaping through a window, he follows her to reason with her, then to protect her and return her. But they run into various incidents during which they fall in love (of course). The issue of friendship is the main impediment. This book has many elements I like in a romance. Both characters are strong and witty, there are humorous moments, and they don't have a lot of angst from traumatic pasts. Maybe because of all this, there's not a lot to the story and it feels dragged out.
