Calvin F | 4 comments I thought the title was Double-Barreled Law but the only book I found with that title wasn't it. Still, I'm pretty sure the title was Double-Barreled (something).,
Set in the late 1800's. Photographer who found his wife in bed with another man refrained from killing them even though he was carrying a shotgun. Now he's out West & decides that he won't put up with people 'abusing' him any more.
The son of a local cattle baron runs him down in the street while he's taking a picture. He goes after the son with his shotgun but in the end simply beats him to a pulp. Then he meets the daughter & basically falls in love although there are obvious difficulties since he's beaten up her brother.
Meanwhile most of the town is fighting against the cattle baron who claims they're rustlers-and it turns out the cattle baron is right. One of the women he meets almost convinces him that the cattle baron is simply a tyrant-until he learns that she's out to get the cattle baron & his family because they killed her father who actually was a rustler.
I believe the cattle baron's family name was Justice, or possibly Justus.

Brenna | 734 comments The Two-Shoot Gun (also listed as The Man from Santa Clara) by Donald Hamilton seems like it could match.

From reviews:
"Alexander Burdick is a mild, calm man from the East. But he carries a double-barreled twelve gauge shotgun and knows how to use it. A photographer by trade, he drives his wagon into town to set up a business"

"The Justice family are the big ranchers in the area, and the son is jailed on bogus rape charges. (Interesting choice of family name, as the patriarch is a law unto himself.) Alexander doesn’t particularly like the son, but is in love with the Justice daughter"
