I'll read for flow, consistency, characters, dialogue and plot, with in-line comments and a write up report.

Lou Poletti | 5 comments Hi Giovanni,

I’d love to get your take on my first two chapters. It’s a LitRPG story with the following premise:

Ever had that feeling you're not where you belong?
Waking up in a video game without knowing how you got there might well qualify.
Follow Nylah as she attempts to discover why she's been uploaded and how she can get out, all while doing her best not to lose her mind to the game world.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to hear from you!

Molly Stegall (mollystegall) | 239 comments Hello, I have recently finished my Fantasy book: Ashes of Revenge. I would describe this as a YA Fantasy book and would love for you to read the first two chapters of my book!

In the land of Corrail five species use hate and spite to make the land a violent cesspool. Raven, a badly burned Mundus, knows that better than anyone. Betrayed by her Kingdom, and left for dead in enemy territory, she wants nothing but revenge against the Mundus King.

Years after the incident, an unlikely trio forms with similar interests: Colt, an anxiety-ridden Shifter with a skill for killing, and Richard, an overly strict Farian with the ability to strategize against anything and one. The small group devise a plan to ensure the Kingdom they live in is protected against the others that oppose and threaten war.

Just as they begin to make progress, a new player in their twisted game appears: Death. Moving his players, the group end up in Raven’s old Kingdom with a new mission for the group to follow. With Death promising that Colt and Richard will be hurt if she doesn’t do as she’s told, she agrees to the deal. But vengeance courses so fast beneath her skin that nothing can stop her from getting what she wants. Not even Death.

You can message me here or PM me or send me an email at mstegall18@gmail.com!

Thanks :)

message 40: by Jordyn (new)

Jordyn (jordynellery) | 7 comments Hi there!
The title of my book is ‘Retribution’, and it is an Adult: Romance novel, filled with plot twists and angst. It is a 100,000-word novel (Final draft). It is a dual POV narration throughout, alternating between the lives of the two characters. The novel is based in Atlanta, more specifically Buckhead. It is set in the present.

My target audience is fans of Lucy Score, Lauren Asher, Colleen Hoover and Penelope Douglas. Any adult who has an interest in romance, suspense, and mystery. ‘Book Tok’ would be a huge selling point for this novel. Think, Colleen Hoover's 'Verity' meets Gillian Flynn's 'Gone Girl'.

Blurb: Indie and Reed are worlds apart in their lifestyle. Reed is a successful lawyer with a wife and 9-year-old-daughter whereas Indie is an entrepreneurial ballerina, with her own ballet studio. What happens when their worlds crash into each other? In the event of Reed’s wife’s death, he must face life on his own as a single father, or does he? With an ongoing custody case, cheating fiancés, contractual marriage, sisterly love, and mysterious messages what will become of Reed and Indie’s relationship?

I’d appreciate if you could read the first 2 edited chapters of my book :) Thank you

Thanks Gio for giving my book a read, I really appreciate it. I would definitely recommend using him as a beta reader. He gave me a thorough analysis of what doesn't work as well as what did. I know it was just a couple chapters but my first two were pretty heavy. Again, thanks bud.

Hello,
I am hoping you'd be interested in beta reading the first two chapters of my completed fantasy novel set in a post-cataclysm Virginia.

The most prevalent theme is about whether the main character’s life is worth anything when his culture, religion, family, and even himself deem it unworthy just because he has a debilitating illness (what we would know as the autoimmune disease, myasthenia gravis).

SYNOPSIS:

"Fifteen-year-old Abel March has been cursed by the Five Gods for wickedness. No one likes him, let alone admires him. When he accidentally triggers a magical amulet, the spirit inside kills his brother and three other boys.

Livia Calzada is a priestess who stumbles upon the village and Abel’s execution, stopping it just in time to declare that since he can naturally perform magic, she herself must escort him to a sacred place and perform a ritual to sacrifice him to the gods, cleansing the world of his evil.

She promises Abel that he will have a good afterlife if he accompanies her, to which he heartily agrees. She takes him on a journey through the hostile wilderness, gaining allies and battling the monsters and troublemakers in their path.

All Abel desires is to rest in peace, and all Livia wants is to fulfill her promise. With everything and everyone standing in their way, it will take a miracle – or several – to succeed."

If you are interested, please let me know how I can get it to you.

Thank you for your time.

Highly highly recommend.
