[done] Duplicate/NAB Star Wars entries

I recently stumbled across Patricia A. Jackson and have been trying to sort out her biography (waiting to hear back from a couple of places I reached out to about the last two works I’m positive aren’t by her).

Anyway. Some of the editions to her name/profile seem to be duplicates and/or not-a-books (short stories added as their own books, even if they have not been published on their own, AFAICT).

I just wanted to throw out my thoughts and what I have been thinking to do and just would like other librarians to say whether they agree with my assessments and plan-of-action.

From a certain point of view #3 seems to almost certainly be a duplicate of From A Certain Point of View (Star Wars) #3 (based on editing history) which I’m guessing is actually a duplicate of From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.
Plan: Combine then merge the two former into the latter.

Out Of The Cradle seems to be a duplicate of Star Wars Adventure Journal 2: Out of the Cradle – but is actually probably duplicate/part of The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 2 and not a standalone work.
Plan: Add Jackson as contributor to latter then combine+merge the two former into the latter.

For all of the following, the first entry seems to be not-a-book and actually part of the second entry.

Star Wars Adventure Journal 4: The Final Exit → The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 4

Star Wars Adventure Journal 8: Uhl Eharl Khoehng → The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 8
Plan: Add Jackson as contributor to latter entries then combine+merge the former ones into the latter ones.

For the following, Jackson is already listed as a contributor to the journals:
Star Wars Adventure Journal 11: The Longest Fall → The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 11
Star Wars Adventure Journal 12: Idol Intentions+Star Wars Adventure Journal 12: Betrayal by Knight → The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 12
Star Wars Adventure Journal 15: Laughter after Dark → The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal, Vol. 1 No. 15
Plan: Combine+merge the former ones into the latter ones.

Again, this is mostly me checking in before doing all this cleanup. If anyone can find or tell me a reason to not do what I’m proposing, please let me know. I guess I’ll do this this coming Monday if no one’s objected before then. :)

I merged two editions of From a Certain Point of View: Star Wars but it should not be merged into the ROTJ book as they are different films.

As per https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.c... Jackson is not a contributor to From a Certain Point of View #1 but as per https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/comp... she is a contributor to #3. I think the "#3" in those titles should carry more weight than the franchise name being in there, given that we know the author is a contributor to "#3" and not a contributor to "(#1:) Star Wars".

Given that there have been no other comments here, I’ll go ahead with the plans outlined in the first post, and try and figure out undoing the faulty merge of the two “From a Certain Point of View #3”s into From a Certain Point of View #1.
