The salvagers stopped, their small, ratty leader coming forth. “For wha?” He asked, his eyes searching her. She didn’t look too poor. Or too rich. What did she have to offer?

"I'll trade weaponry and somewhat bloody armor in exchange for your carts. Two of them, specifically." She replied. Her voice stood strong. So did her feet. But her mind was freaking out. What if he's already dead, and they can't get the armor off him? What if they don't like the armor and the weapons? What if they don't think It's good? And questions like that wondered her mind as she looked back at their leader, she assumed, as she stared at him in his eyes.
The scavengers thought. “One wagon. And only armor. People get angry about fancy weapons.” The leader said, stepping on a more forward. Two more scavengers followed him, protecting him.
Addison wanted to back away. Run away. Flee from the sight, but she managed to keep herself from running away. She wondered how she could get two carts. "But I need two." She replied. It wasn't much, but that was all she had to say. That, plus a whole lot of cursing she managed to keep away from her mouth.
The salvager leader shook his head. “No. We won’t be able to bring anything back.” He looked toward the dying half orc. “You can fit that one of those on here.” He stated flatly, pointing a fallen soldier.
Her eyes lit up as they replied, as she nodded her head. "Okay, done deal!" She exclaimed, as they told her she could fit the half orc within the carts.
The salvager grunted, pointing. “Put your items over there. Then take the wagon.” He stated, assigning the two other salvagers to watch.
"Yes sir!" She exclaimed, as she began to walk back towards the armor. It was brutally hard, but Addison managed. She first pulled off the metal belt, which strapped the entire upper body armor together. Whilst she unbuckled the strap, the metal seemed to heavily fall against his huge body as Addison pulled the armor off his body, struggling to put the items against the wagon. She'd gotten one part of it off, but the arm armor and legs of the armor were still on him.
Calvis groaned weakly when she pulled the metal armor from his body, some of the armor still stabbing into him. He fell limp against the sand as the armor was removed, leaving him a tank top and his armored trousers.
The salvager smiled. It was high quality armor. Good trade. For him, not for her.

She hadn't cared about the trade. For the most part. She had just wanted to help Calvis out. Even though she hadn't known him for that long, or even at all, she still felt the need to help those who were in need. She didn't know why, but she was very strong when it came to her final decisions. Once she'd removed almost all the armor from his body, she had managed to place them all into the cart. She then took the cart she had been promised with, holding it by the handle as she looked at the leader salvager, "A deals a deal." She replied, eyeing the armor that was on the cart, as she then pointed to the cart she was promised with.
The salvager snickered at the dumb woman. “Of course.” He responded, before going back to scavenging, stealing from the dead.
She rolled her eyes at them, scoffing as they laughed before heading their separate ways. She figured they were laughing from the horrendous trade, that was mostly her fault. She decided if she ever saw them again, they'd be the first ones to be executed. Or something of the sort.
Pulling the cart close to Calvis large body, she stood, between the cart and the body, wondering how she'd pull up such a length and large body onto the cart.

((Should We timeskip to when she gets back to the house?))
Calvis’ slump body was heavy. Heavy enough to make the cart sink into the sand, the rims of the wheels getting buried under the fine grained particles.

(( Works for me. I'll just time skip it on my post. ))
The struggle to maintain him on the cart, whilst pulling him onwards was a struggle on it's own. Maintaining the cart from busting and the wheels from colliding made Addison rethink the whole 'saving' business.
. . .
It took her almost the entire night, but she managed to keep the cart, and Calvis's body on throughout the entire journey. As she pulled the cart close to the front door, she demanded to know how she would fit him in.
. . .
That took a good 30 minutes, but she eventually managed to pull out two mattresses and a few extra pillows ( from the couch and bed ) to keep him on the bed, as she took the cart away and near her window, in case she'd needed it for later. Rushing back in, she found some first aid kits, mostly just oils and ointments to keep the blood from oozing out so fast.

After the long, rough trip Calvis’s breathing had diminished further, the rising and falling of his chest erratic and slow, his breaths coming in quiet wheezing pants.
Addison noticed his laps of breathing, which were faltering within the minutes that had passed. She headed towards her room to grab one of the spell books, as she came back in, practically rushing onto where he was as she placed her hands out against his chest, before chanting as she mumbled the words. It was a healing cast spell, used to heal those who were injured.
Calvis’s breathing stabilized, but he remained knocked out, his wounds still partially open.
The healing cast was like a temporary cast, and would eventually wear off. But the healing magic lasted for a good 2-3 days before it wore off. As she finished the spell, her hands began to glow a light blue color, which fluctuated before wrapping around, like a cast, except it was an invisible cast.
Calvis continued to lay on the bed, his breathing continuing to normalize as the continuous healing spell worked at his injuries. It would take time for him to heal, but he was starting to fade from blackout to sleep, his breaths coming in peaceful crests and troughs of his muscular chest.
Addison could hear his breathing, come to a normalized tone, as she laid the book against the table, with a soft sigh, sitting against the couch which was next to the two mattresses bed for Calvis. She figured if he'd wake up, it'd be at least with something with a roof over their heads, rather than alone and dying in the desert.
It took a few hours for Calvis to come to, his mind slowly waking up and unfogging. When he woke up, his eyes cracked open, staring at the roof above him. He tried to get up, groaning in pain as he aggravated some of his still healing bones. Now that he was awake he was aware of the firey pain in his body, of his bones reknitting and popping back into place, and his internal damage like lava inside his skin as the flesh slowly moved back into place. He let out another groan, his exhausted body not having enough strength to think or cry out.
Addison woke up with a jolt, hearing the groans, as she sat up against the couch. It took her eyes to adjust, for a second, to remember the whole situation with Calvis, as her eyes widened in realization. As she started to get up, her entire body seemed to go against her wishes as her knees buckled, causing her to fall off the couch, landing on the floor, and about 1 feet away from the giant bed, as she rubbed her temples, managing to sit up. "Ow..." She managed to say, whilst making sure she wasn't too loud for Calvis, seeing as he'd just woken up.
Calvis continued to grown, the pain enough to keep him awake, but not enough to knock him out. I’m his mind he was vaguely aware he was somewhere different, and that he hadn’t eaten in some time. He also had to use the bathroom. He tried to sit up again, managing to prop himself up before falling back into the mattresses.
Addison stood up, once the surroundings were within the clear as she watched him sit up again, but plop back onto the mattress. "You really shouldn't be moving that much. Your not really in the best shape to be moving right now." Addison replied, to him.
Calvis moved his head with a breath, his teeth clenched as he tried to find her. His vision was a little fuzzy, and he could only see her outline moving slightly. “Who… who are you?” He stated, his voice thick and growly with his deep orcish accent.
"Addison." She remarked. "I found you lying around the desert area, although why you'd be fighting a hunter within a desert, I have no idea." She replied, coming a bit closer to him, as she touched her knees against the mattresses. She decided to stay standing up for now, just until he could grasp the idea of what had happened.
Calvis grunted, already feeling drained. The healing was taking a lot out of him, and he hadn’t eaten in a long while. He listened to the first part of her sentence, his brain scrambling. Why was he in the desert? What was a hunter? He closed his eyes, thinking, and ended up falling asleep again.
When she found no response from him, she figured he'd gone back to sleeping, and decided it'd be best to let him rest, and if he decided to wake up, then she could tell him what he wanted to know.
Calvis slept for about another day, his body healing relatively quickly. He awoke on the second day at around noon, starving. He sat up, feeling pain free, and then he stood. Almost immediately he sank back down, his legs weak and his head woozy. He was dehydrated and had lost most of his blood. He also hadn’t eaten since the morning of the battle, and his stomach growled loudly.
Hearing his stomach growl, Addison quickly headed into the living room, where he'd been staying for the last two days. She'd been here and there, mostly making sure he wouldn't do anything stupid. Seeing as he'd been asleep, and had done nothing of the sort, she was out and about for most of the time. But for the rest of the previous day, she'd mostly just been in her room, reading within her room from her spell book. As she came towards the living room she was glad to see he was looking much better than two days ago. "Want me to make you something?" She asked, saying it bluntly, as if he was a friend or someone she'd known.
Calvis was frankly confused by this kind woman. Who was this gorgeous woman and why was she being so nice to him. “”Yes..” he stated, his voice deep and rough. “Please.” He added, doing his best to be a good guest, like his mother had taught him.
"Okay, I'll go ahead and make something, but in the mean time make sure not to move around too much. It might cause the pain to come back again, and seeing as my healing cast won't last very long, I suggest you stay on the bed for now." Addison replied, in a sort of strict tone that wasn't too strict, or formal.
He grunted, laying back down on the mattress. It was quite large, with enough room to fit one or two other people on it with him. He picked his hand up and looked at it, tracing the veins with his eyes and absorbing how the muscles flexed so powerfully. How has he gotten all of it? He knew that something was missing, there felt like there was a hole in his head, something that should be there but that wasn’t.
Addison headed into the kitchen, as she picked up a few ingredients, turning her stove on, as she kept her slight distance from the fire, as she turned to go find a pot to put over. She figured something less hard, and more liquid-y would be better suitable for him. She placed the pot over the fire of her stove, as she diced up some tomatoes and carrots.
He put his hand down, tired from being awake and healing. He sat back up, waiting. He investigated the cottage, and the scenery outside.
As the soup began to boil, she turned the heat down, slightly, before heading out of the kitchen to grab them some water. Looking back, she now realized how tall and big he really was. Back then, she just assumed he'd be tall, but she wasn't expecting him to be That tall. "Wow...your tall." She blurted out, as she covered her mouth, before looking back at him. "Sorry, I didn't mean that in an offensive way. Or maybe it was offensive. I'm sorry, I'm just admiring that your tall. I mean yeah your Tall tall, but like yeah your tall. Ugh, sorry. I'm just..your just........sorry." She replied, as she headed back into the kitchen to keep the soup company. 5 minutes of seeing him, and she'd already embarrassed herself in front of him.
Calvis watched her leave, some foreign instinct forcing him to track her as she walked across the room. He nodded. “I am.” He stated, not offended in the least. Why would he be offended by a fact? “Do not worry. I did not take offense.” He stated, smiling a little bit at her awkwardness. It was kinda cute. He tried to stand up again, but once again sat back down, still weak and hungry.
The soup was done within another few minutes as she picked up two bowls, placing them gently onto the counter top as she used the spoons to move the soup from pot to bowl. She added a little salt and pepper on top, as she carried the bowl back into the living room, holding it within her hands as she came up to where he was sitting, as she sat besides him.
He took the bowl of soup, eating quietly and quickly, eating the chunks and gulping down the broth in about two minutes. He let out a deep breath of satisfaction. “May I have another bowl please?” He asked, holding the bowl to her.
She blinked at how quickly he'd finished his soup. As he asked, she was a bit appalled by his sudden question, before she registered the full question. "Uh..yeah sure." She replied, taking the bowl from him as she headed back into the kitchen.
Calvis waited as she went to the kitchen, getting him more soup. He tapped on his knees, nervous from sitting still. He didn’t know why he was. He just felt fidgety. He felt like he should be doing something, not just sitting around.
(view spoiler)
She set the spoons aside, putting in the soup into the bowl, seeing as he gulped the entire serving in two minutes entirely. She came back into the room, before giving him the bowl again. This time she stood up, rather than sitting down, wondering if he'd ask for another bowl of soup.

((Lol. Same.))
He took the bowl graciously and went a little slower, still drinking the soup. He polished off his second bowl and let out a groan of satisfaction. It was really good soup. And he was still hungry. He sheepishly raised his bowl to her once more. “May I have some more soup please?” He asked, looking down at the flood.

She wanted to say she was surprised at his question, but she wasn't. She nodded her head again, with a small stifled laugh, as she took the bowl from him, once again. "Sure, sure." She said, before going back in the kitchen, once again, as she poured the soup within the bowl, once again. She brought out the bowl towards him, handing it to him, before looking at him with anticipation for him to eat the soup.
He took the soup and ate this one a little slower, then set it aside, flipping down into the mattress, making Addison bounce. He looked over to the pale woman. “I apologize for not asking sooner, but what is your name?” He questioned, his hunger sated.
(( Dude got memory of a goldfish. ))
As he asked, after flopping down onto the mattress, she was intrigued by his memory sense. "I've already told you my name." She replied back, with a chuckle. A light chuckle at that, as she faced him. Since he was laying on the bed, she had to look down at him. For once, during the entire 3 days she'd seen him, she felt taller than him. The unease feeling had gone by now, and in replaced with the feeling of satisfaction of helping him.

((Hey, cut him some slack. Just got hit in the head really hard. Still healing.))
He frowned, trying to remember. He vaguely remembered , but he wasn’t entirely sure. “Oh..” he stated, thinking. “Was is… Addalin?” He asked, doing his absolute best, but knowing he got it wrong.

(( Pffft All right All right, I'll cut him some slack. ))
She seemed to enjoy him guessing, despite being very close to her name. "No, but you got the first three letters correct. So your close." She admitted, before realizing that he had been injured two days ago, and was in pretty bad shape. But still, she figured a little teasing game of figuring out her name wouldn't be so bad.

Calvis’s frowned deepened, and he sat up, pounding his knee with his fist in thought. He used to pound his battle axe on the floor like that when he was in thought, but he didn’t remember it. He raised his eyebrows. “Addison!” He exclaimed. “I got it.” He stated, pumping his fist.
Seeing him frown made her smile, which was something she'd never expected to do, especially when someone else was trying their best to guess. As he got her name correct, he pumped his fist, making her exclaim with joy. "Yup~! That's it. Gosh your good. And you got that in 2 tries. Well done." She replied. "You should get a prize or something. It usually takes people much longer to get my name right, even after I've told them." She said, as she patted his "shoulders" which was just his arm, as she saw, before keeping her hands against his arms. "Woah!?! Your hands are so rough. And the muscles are so big. Were you a warrior or something?" She asked, before looking back at up, with an apologetic look. She pulled her hands away from his arms, keeping them to herself as she looked down again. "Sorry, I didn't mean to come at you with so many questions." She admitted.
