And a question:

As Goodreads librarian; if I should I find individual notebooks and blank books attached to real authors, the correct course of action would be change the status to deleted correct?

I assume you want these whole author records purged but if there is anyway I can help clean up the small records that are just... hanging out in the wild, I would love it. The amount of notebooks attached to manga is truly mindblowing.

They should be marked invalid. This will remove them from search and keep them from being added again because the identifier will still be in the database, albeit hidden.

It is unclear whether deleting them will have the same effect.

I haven't checked to see if every single work on each authors' profile is not a book, in hopes that there is an easier way in a batch process to pick the ones that should be marked invalid.
