[done] Books that haven't been published yet?

To the best of my knowledge there isn't a policy on books with unfulfilled crowdfunding campaigns. I would not personally add such a book unless it had an ISBN, ASIN, or other 'proof of life', but that's a personal view in the absence of specific policy.

So...
The book has already been created by someone else and is shelved as want to read by a few people.
They misspelled the authors name creating a new author page.
I just tried to merge the author pages but got an error that the author is a goodreads author and manages their own page, because the author has a claimed profile under the correct spelling of their name with two editions of a previously crowdfunded and successfully published book.
So instead i changed the author on the book page to the correct spelling and it now appears on the authors official page.
Now...
I could ask a superlibrarian for the book to be deleted, or i could add a note to the description that it is a work in progress?

That would depend upon future distribution, though, right? If it's only available via the Kickstarter (etc.), it would be invalid, but if it's a Kickstarter 'reward' but also available for anyone to purchase later (e.g., on Amazon) it should be valid.

I'd leave it as is and see what happens with it. If there's no more info than title and author, it should be clear to anyone who looks that it's not done/out. If it turns out to be invalid, it can always be deleted or marked invalid later.
