Reading Slump

Ohmygod I’m in such a slump it’s so bad!!!!! I need tips on how to get out of it, I want to read but everytime I open a book I just can’t

I always like to read a book that I absolutely loved and haven't read in a long time OR some romcom or stand alone that I know I'll get through super fast :)

I normally start off with shorter books that’s 100-200 pages (most of the times they consist of mostly smut and/or shifter books). Or I’ll read fanfics from a fandom I enjoy, so it’ll ease me back into reading.

Sometimes I reread my comfor books, or read a short book that I have no expectation of, or I give it time a few days while I busied myself with other activities such as watching movies/tv series, then one night I’m ready to pick up and dive into a new book

personally, i love reading short stories (even children stories) but rom-coms, smut also work

i usually watch some booktube for a bit, watching someone else read + talk about books makes me want to read too. i also agree that reading a comfort book helps!

if you like historical fiction, Ruta Sepetys has some amazing books, and they all have short chapters :)
