Hi! I'm new here :3 Sorry if this shouldn't be in "General", I didn't know where to place it ;)
A year ago I read Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness, and I really loved it, it instantly became my favourite series. I've allowed myself to read it three times since. It's like I can't concentrate on other books after I read it. I don't really want to read anything else. But at the same time I want to read new books! Have any of you tried the same? Should I force myself to read other books? Or simply keep reading it?
You should read other books! There's a variiiiiieeetttyyyyyy out there :D you might even find a series you like just as much. Who knows? not saying you should be forced to but I think it's good to read more than one series of books haha
I had the same problem with series like Harry Potter. I think it is good to find a kind of balance because if you force yourself to read different books you won't enjoy them but if you only read one series you will eventually get bored (although that may seem hard to believe). You need to find a way to do both. Reading books by the same author may help to begin with, such as a monster calls, or maybe the same genre. It is OK to love a series so much that you can't quite let it go, just font over read it.
@Pookie, it gets better in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes tho! Also, did you hear she's writing a new book! I think it's supposed to be about Haymitch!!!
I just discovered that the Kindle version of Colby Adventures series book 3 is available, and I can't wait for the paperback version to become available soon!
