The L.A. Times released an interesting article "The Ultimate L.A. Bookshelf: 110 essential Los Angeles books." A list of books that best defines Los Angeles. I have attached the link:

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment...

If someone looked at your bookshelf or if you could assemble one that defined you, what would your bookshelf say about you? what would be on your bookshelf? What do you think should be on a bookshelf that best defines the Monterey Peninsula?

I don't know if I would have a bookshelf big enough to fit everything I would want on it, but to name a handful of books I would have on my bookshelf, it would include:

-Frank Lloyd Wright on the West Coast-Gibbs Smith
-Ghostly Tales & Mysterious Happenings of Old Monterey-Randall A. Reinstedt.
-A Child's Garden of Verses-Robert Louis Stevenson
-The Sandpiper-Robert Hemenway
Play Misty for Me by Paul J. Gillette
-Monterey Pop-Joel Selvin
Fort Ord, Ca-Harold E. Raugh Jr.
Big Sur-Jack Kerouac
Cannery Row-John Steinbeck
The Death and Life of Monterey Bay-A Story of Revival-Dr. Stephen Palumbi.
Odder-Katherine Applegate
Monterey Peninsula: The Gold Age-Kim Coventry

What would you have on your shelf?

Have a good day.

Sincerely,

-Donna
