Darren (ShadowCub) | 6 comments GlitterShip is a LGBTQ Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast Zine that funded in it's first 24 hours on Kickstarter, hit it's first stretch goal in the next 24 hours, and is well on it's way to reaching it's next stretch goal in the (current) third 24 hours!

GlitterShip is actively seeking submissions from authors of previously published LGBT related fiction at: http://www.glittership.com/submission... (Don't worry if you're NOT published yet. When they hit their third stretch goal, probably later this week, they will be accepting new fiction as well.)

If you would like to support the project to help see that this podcast flourishes for a long time to come, You have util April 8 to check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

NOTE: As it should be, pledges don't help with submissions.

PS: I do hope that this is not out of place here.

Kaje Harper | 17410 comments Interesting project. I'll leave it here for now. Good luck.

Group member should note that the YA LGBT group has not investigated, endorsed, or contributed to this - check out any group you plan to donate to, before doing so.

Darren (ShadowCub) | 6 comments I hope this update isn't TOO inappropriate to put here.

GlitterShip is in it's final 30 hours on KickStarter, but that isn't so much what I want to talk about.

GlitterShip is a short science fiction and fantasy podcast that will feature stories about LGBTQ characters or explore LGBTQ issues. Most LGBTQ fiction venues tend to segregate between gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or any other category. This can be difficult for readers who identify somewhere in between, who are pansexual, asexual, non-binary, or other. The goal is to build a podcast zine where LGBTQ SF&F reprints are collected for readers regardless of specific labels or lack thereof.

The campaign is currently funded for four episodes a month. Each episode will be 30-45 minutes each. The first episode came out April 2 and is available here.

Submission guidelines can be found here if you're interested in having a story broadcast.

Currently the podcasts is only looking for short stories between 100 and 6,000 words long that have been previously published, and they pay 1 cent a word. But if it's able to raise just $630 more, $5,000 total, it'll open up to 1 episode of original fiction per month at 3 cents a word! ($6,000 total would allow a 2nd piece of original fiction per month.)

Kaje Harper | 17410 comments Just FYI - moved this to the websites and other media folder at this point. I hope it is turning into a fun project.
