Greg | 9235 comments Author John B. Doe (example) published a book in 2018 (hardcover and Kindle). In 2023 the book was republished with John Doe on the cover (no middle initial) - paperback and Kindle.

What's the best way to combine the four editions?

Thanks!

Scott | 8696 comments Put them all under John B. Doe.

message 3: by Greg (new)

Greg | 9235 comments By changing the author name on the new editions or adding John B. Doe as a secondary author?

message 4: by Scott (new)

Scott | 8696 comments Just change the whole name. There is no need to have two.
If neither author profile is claimed, you can merge them.

lethe | 16359 comments Since John B. Doe encompasses John Doe, there is no need to add both versions (unless John Doe is the claimed profile).

People searching for John Doe will find the John B. Doe books.
