THINGS I LIKED
-I loved how this book featured the frenemies to lovers and the grumpy/sunshine trope. These tropes were so well executed and I loved the dynamic between Rook and Sun
-The subtle pining between the two main characters (!!!) This book had me at the small smiles, the subtle hints and the hand holding
-Antonia Hex was the coolest anti-hero. She was mischievous and a rebel.
-The book was set in a queer-normative world and we had a lot of rep and diversity.
-There was a focus on belonging and acceptance and what it means to be loved. There were also discussions about gatekeeping in communities and who gets to dictate who can fit in and not.
-The slow burn romance! This book set things up slowly and the chemistry was palpable on the page.

THINGS THAT COULD’VE BEEN IMPROVED
-(not necessarily a bad thing) but the book was slightly more skewed to younger YA readers. That being said, I still really enjoyed the book and found it playful and fun

I've heard of the author, but not this book. Now that it's summer, maybe I should check out these BOTM discussions, lol!

Ahahah definitely! Spell Bound was really good. If you like grumpy x sunshine you'll enjoy this one!
