I practically only watch Cdramas now I'm so into them. I wish there were more English language translations. I can't get enough. I've started reading BL Manga, but it's not the same. I'm character driven and I haven't felt like Manga puts much time into characters, at least the few I've read.
4. I've wanted to be bilingual and sadly I'm not. My new Xianxia obsession and I want to learn Chinese. I went to acupuncture school and learned some there, but not enough to know it. My ear is picking up things watching all these Cdramas, but I have no one to speak with or learn from. I've fallen in love w/ Chinese culture - I don't know why - might have something to do with the beautiful men, I won't lie.
5. Acupuncture is my job. I want to eat at the Untamed restaurant in Shanghai someday. I really want to try Lotus and ribs soup. Also, I collect Nutcrackers.

I was aware of danmei because of watching The Untamed what feels like a million years ago, but as far as actually starting to read it, about a year ago a friend of mine bought me vol. 1 of each of mxtx's books, shoved them at me, and basically forced me to read them. I've never been so grateful in my life.

Of course, since I'm supposed to share a fun fact, I can't think of any....um...I work in a vet clinic? Is that a fun fact? Oh, and when I'm not reading, I'm obsessed with Stardew Valley.

Age? Pretty ancient compared to the rest here, I guess. Lol

I have been pretty hooked on Danmei these days, as I have sort of gotten tired out by tons of cookie-cutter English gay novels. Not that there aren't any good ones, but it's just that those are pretty rare finds. I still do read English gay novels now and then. Another interesting reason why I am hooked with Chinese danmei is because I could understand Chinese languange. So I sort of use text-to-speech apps to read these Chinese danmei novels in its raw format instead of reading the physical text itself or reading the English fan-translation.

Fun facts? How about my Danmei book reviews are based on its original text instead of the translated text, hence, my views are most likely different from the rest who reads the translation as I wouldn't be affected by bad translation.

As per above, I could speak in English, Chinese (Cantonese) and Malay. I could also understand to an extent some spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and a bit of other Chinese dialects as well. I guess, I am multilingual. I am from Malaysia if you know where that is. A very humid and hot tropical country with tons of Asian and fusion cuisines.
