Wow that sounds amazing!! I’m currently working on a 107K YA novel about found family and dragons in a modern, earth like setting.
bro those both sound so cool! I have a fluffy wlw short story that is probably 3/4 finished. The second wip I have is a murder mystery about a girl's best friend who was framed so she decides to make a plan to get into prison to be with her, and my third one is a fantasy piece that has been in the works since I was probably seven years old. I'm eighteen now, so...
My only WIP rn that I’ve been working on for years is a fantasy with almost 55k words. In all honesty, I’ve lost motivation to actually write it. I love my characters and I want to write this story so badly but I just can’t. Anyway, the plot is about a girl named Aubrey who’s a guardian angel, and she gets whisked away by her guide Marie to Anelia (not a final name) world of the angels. (She’s a human born, a pretty rare thing for angels) The thing about this novel is that when I started it I was just such an entirely different person than I am now, I know if I get past the first draft stage when I start rewriting its gonna change so drastically.
I know I at least have a lot of ideas for this book, and plan on making it into a series if I’m ever able to. I love my characters and I really want to do a lot with them but it’s hard when all your ideas would come later in a series or just don’t go together smoothly, but anyway, that’s my WIP.
My WIP is a YA Mystery Novel with a fantasy subplot, and by the time I'm finished with the first draft, I want it to be 60k words, but once I'm completely finished with it, I'm hoping it will be nearing 70k. Using this template that I love, here's what it's about:"Ellorie Gray is a 17 year old girl living in Tamper, New York. But when she starts getting visions of a girl named Riley asking for her help, Ellorie must find her body and find out who killed her so that Riley’s body can move on, even though her soul already has."
I forgot that I totally have another wip. It's a YA romance. I want to say the romance is the sub plot but it really is the main. An Aztec girl in her early 20's has her coming of age ceremony coming up and her father is going to arange a marriage for her but she devises a plan. Her father said that if she did have a boyfriend that she truly loved, he wouldn't make her marry him. She meets this guy at a party and drunkenly asks him to be her fake boyfriend for a few months and at the ceremony. She offered him money and he accepted. You can probably guess the rest.

Lmk when you have anything you are okay with me reading!
Currently working out the details for an Alice-In-Wonderland based story where "Wonderland" is a cursed-dystopian world. Genre is thriller/fantasy and there will definitely be some plot twists. Figuring out character details is my main focus rn.

Writing a fantasy action novel right now, I’m on chapter 3. It has multiple POVs and 4 protagonists.I hope I can publish it one day :)
I'm working on book three of my paranormal fantasy series. I've been procrastinating on finishing this project, over ten years to be exact, because I don't want it to end. This series is my baby. It was the first story I was ever actually excited about writing. I have yet to publish anything though. I hope to change that this year though.
I’m currently writing a Romance/Fantasy YA book where a girl attends a school, sort of like Hogwarts, with her good friends. Her adoptive father is one of the teachers, which is why she got in, and her and her best friend have a thing for each other, but never really want to admit it to themselves. The story spirals on with her trying to find out more about her biological background, losing people close to her, facing rejection, and overall spiraling downward and trying to fight off her inevitable madness. I’m doing lot of research because I really want to do it write.

i have a really cool book idea of mystery and romance that i still have only on my brain, ive been wanting to write more lately, but my wip is a harry styles fanfic rn 💀💀 i’m not too sure if i’d like to post it but if someone wants to know what it’s about u can just ask!
im currently writing a hopefully soon-to-be published novel called Paper Crowns, it’s about an assassin and it’s fantasy :)
Currently working on a fantasy book about a multi-talented genius girl from an otherworldly kingdom who ends up coming to Earth and establishes a unique museum.
atm im working on a love-triangle (yes, i know, but i swear it's not a typical love triangle) romance novel about a non-conformist girl attending a super traditionalist school, it's about her breaking the boundaries and encouraging those around her to be fully themselves, including her 2 loves interests. one is a stuck up, posh stickler who is kind of an asshole and the other is super outgoing and happy go lucky. it's about learning that sometimes you can love someone but that doesn't mean they were made for you. my other story is a coming-of-age summer romance about a girl about to go off to college, and her high school crush has finally given her a chance, but they've got to find a way to make things worse or else college and life changes will tear them apart.
pretty basic ideas, i know, but im hoping my own personal experiences will give these stories a special twist :)
One that I have is something that I’m working on with a friend. We were really like, I guess you could say, active with it at first, we had about five people working on it, and then it became three. But then E got busy with school so now it’s just me and Jazmin. But it’s fine cause even though it’s coming along slowly, we’re both really busy and trying r best with it. It’s about a girl named Agatha, who ig sort of like gets transported to a random castle in the sky. And it turns out to be a school for angels. But Agatha’s all like ‘but I’m not an Angel guys like what’s going on’ and the head mistress speaks in an Angel language that Agatha shouldn’t be able to understand and she’s talking about Agatha’s mother, and she’s all like what’s this got to do with my mom, but I’m not gonna say this cause y’know why can I understand her. She meets a new friend named River and they click really fast. Agatha also has an annoying roomate named Abez who has a mysterious, weirdly popular for a second year, boy with purple eyes named Asrar (by now I’m going to tell you, I was late to the discussion and didn’t name any of the characters). She also meets these three weird immature in a funny way boys, Wren, Wibey, And Waylon. All these 7 characters kind of become a friend group I guess you could say, but then the action comes in. Wren gets hurt and we’re waiting for the rest to also. Agatha and River have to dig into Agatha’s mother’s past. Agatha must choose whether she will be with Asrar or Wren, as both boys want her. And at one point, Agatha finds herself holding a dagger over someone and wonders whether she has tuned into the bad guy.
Hm. My best recommendation is setting a small word count goal of a hundred or so words and just focus on getting those out don’t worry about whole story stuff
if you have scenes you are excited to write in the future, you can write those rn! you dont have to write chapters or scenes in order, necessarily

that makes sense
I'm taking a break from the WIP that I talked about earlier, because I finished the first draft and want to take a few months off from it before I start editing. But I'm currently outlining my next WIP, which I'll probably start writing in November for Nanowrimo. It's a YA Mystery. My word count goal is 80K.Olive Reed, a teenager with OCD, brother dies in a sh**ting that goes unsolved. She tries to help the police, but they dismiss her, because she goes to Hoffman Academy, a boarding school for kids who struggle in a regular school environment because of a disability, mental or physical. So she decides to investigate on her own.
currently working on a YA romantasy underwater world!! it’s enemies to lovers but with a complicated past. it’s also second chance romance and has lots of representation. FMC is a mixed race 17 year old girl and MMC is a Mexican American 18 year old boy. he is also bisexual. there’s two side characters that are lesbians. the FMC’s sister is asexual! im very excited to start working on this!! if anyone wants to beta read for me or give me feedback on this as the story gets written, just dm me :)) I’d love any feedback!
i’m working on a 15k-word fanfic based on taylor swift’s teenage love triangle with jegulus and jily, plus a couple of other side fanfics and a paranormal/horror short story about a teenage girl who ends up trapped in a haunted hotel.
So I'm working on a YA fantasy novel and I just wanted a bit of feedback on if you guys think it sounds good? My word goal is about 100k for the first draft and I'm only at about 27k.Its called The Darkest Flame and its about a girl who has been basically drinking her life away for the past eleven years after the death of her mother. Her memory is pretty much shot. Well this guy who she knew from her childhood comes back (she doesn't remember him at all and she must slowly regain her memory) and tells her crazy news. She is a half-breed Dusk, (basically half demon) and theres a lot of lore that goes behind it all but basically shes gotta save the world.
Some of the tropes are like suuuuper slow burn romance, found family, and of the side character who is just the most relatable being ever. So yeah...be brutally honest please. I promise I can take it. Just honestly curious :) Also sorry if none of this makes sense lol its been a long day. And feel free to ask questions cause i was incredibly vague so I wouldnt write 300 paragraphs 😭😭
my works are basically trying to write mini articles for the group i created in here lol. I’m so rusty rn.
My wip is about a black teen in the late 50s who falls in love with a wealthy rich boy. His parents don’t like her because they are important people in their community, and don’t want her ruining their image. So they learn how to navigate having a mixed race relationship in a time where that was frowned upon.
omg I'm kind of loving yours, would be so interesting discussing a topic like that in a book. My work in progress, emphasis on progress, is about a boy who goes to college and becomes friends with a popular group of music students, one of whom he finds himself obsessed with. he envies their wealth and status and wishes to be like them. plot twist, the group have all been leaching off of someone else, using their money to fund themselves. then they kill him. Our main character, Lewis, finds himself stuck in-between his morals and the fruits of wealth. what will he choose? if you cant tell i take a lot of influence from the secret history. i also really like discussing the topics of wealth and class divides so i kind of mushed them together.
I have two works in progress, but both of them are currently on hold.First, I have a fantasy series centering around fictional creatures called bottlenorns (little beings with bottles for bodies, corks for heads, and flames for souls that wear witch hats and cloaks). The series is character-centric, mostly focusing on the unique lives of the bottlenorns, and while it starts out as primarily a slice-of-life story, the second and third book shake things up a bit and add some new elements into the mix. The first draft of the first book has been written and gone through one round of editing, and I have the first draft of the second book done, but I'm putting the series on hold while I focus on developing new skills and polishing the first book to get it into a publishable state.
My other WIP is a mystery set in an underground rat society. The main character, Ida, is really different from most detectives in books in that she's a generally optimistic and nice person who focuses on getting suspects to open up to her. The story is set at an art museum, and I'm also incorporating themes of the role of art in the world into the story. I'm going to continue writing it as soon as I finish up with school stuff.
Hi, I am just starting the proces to publish my first poem book. I don’t know anything at all it’s al new for me. Does anyone have any tips for me?
I'm writing a novel about these kids piecing together the history of the barren planet they wake up on, with the help of a native who's starting to realize her utopia may not be as perfect as she thought. The main genres are xenoarcheology and linguistics.
I have this novel that i'm writing, about a cult and stuff and ghosts.. I'm only on chapter one though :sob:
OKAY!!!HERE IT IS:
Faith squeaked in fright, slapping her hands up to her mouth. "You- you helped him?" she whispered in horror.
"Yes," Jane said, mildly curious at Faith's reaction. "But wasn't what he was doing good? He did this for me," She added with a stroke of defiance as Faith and Duane looked at her with equally disgusted expressions. Then, she smiled. "Do you want to see?" She asked, and when neither of them responded, she took it as a yes. Toby's body crumpled to the ground, and as they looked up, a tinkling laugh erupted from a black-haired girl- a teenager that they recognized from only photographs.
She was the actual Jane.

My WIP is a paranormal fiction and light fantasy YA novel. It’s about kids that are forced to work at ghost hunting companies and the MC ran away and got taken to one. She discovers that she has fire powers then that she is prophesied to save the world. She sets out on a quest with two other friends, visiting haunted places and looking for the only thing that can destroy what will end the world. She also is hiding her abilities and thinks she’s a monster.
