Stephanie Pierson is ready to find a man who knows how to satisfy a woman. Recently divorced, her husband was lacking severely in that category and her biological clock is ticking. Mace Donovan overhears Steph talking to her best friend about him. He is intrigued by the beautiful woman even if she is a little nuts. Could she be the one for him?
I wanted to like this but I had a hard time getting past Steph talking to her lady bits. Good chemistry between Steph and Mace. Reminded me a bit of some of this authors earlier works.

Something about a solid friends to lovers trope will always get me - maybe how the hero just knows the heroine all the way down to her bones. All of the little quirks and intimate details. And there's something about a stoic, logical, steady hero that makes me swoon. It wasn't so much funny feelings I had while reading this, but definitely warm fuzzies.

Twenty years ago Chloe Davis saw her father arrested for the disappearance of six teenage girls. The crimes of what her father did shaped her into the woman she is today. All that is about to be rattled though when another girl disappears and Chloe finds herself immersed in stunningly similar circumstances to the crimes her father committed.
This was really good. I liked the writing and how the story unfolded. Chloe is a bit of a mess at times but you definitely feel her emotions radiate through the page. Had a lot of twists and turns.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. It felt a bit uninspired just because it was very reminiscent of The House in the Cerulean Sea. There also wasn't a lot of detailed world building. But it was a light, feel-good story and I really liked Mika and Jamie.

Claire Waverley has made a quiet life for herself as a caterer. She has a gift with plants that can cause emotions when eaten. She is stunned when her sister Sydney comes back into her life with a young daughter named Bay. Claire regrets how she treated Sydney when she was young, but maybe Sydney being back is a chance to start fresh but it haunts her that Sydney may leave again.
Sydney knew she needed to get away from the man who she tried to run from before. She had a chance and she took it heading back to home in Bascom, North Carolina. She knows she needs to time to get close to Claire and has a hand in matchmaking with the neighbor Tyler who is absolutely smitten with Claire. Sydney knows she is home to stay but can she build a life for her and Bay without her past wrecking it?
There was something magical about this story. I liked all the cooking in it, it was descriptive and added to the story. Claire is a bit stodgy in the beginning but as you get to know her you understand her fears. Sydney is more of a free spirit and loved her portion of the story. Highly entertaining.
