Good to know that Nancy Drew doesn't necessarily carry over from our youth. I'm glad that you had success with Horse - loved this book too!

Vicki Willis | 583 comments Wow! What a great reading time you had.
It always take a bit to get the current reads down again after a readathon!
I like the idea of the Newbery Honor books though.
See you in April

Ann A (readerann) | 909 comments Start of April 2024

I joined in late, but I'm at it now. Because I've had so little time to read lately, I think I'll just do a few updates and otherwise keep my head in the books. Even though I won't be "visiting", I find it comforting to think of all you lovely people reading along with me!<3

Hours 1 - 6

Happiness Falls (in progress) - 49 pgs
Nemesis (audio - in progress) - 42 pgs

Total pages so far: 91

I'll add up my hours read/listened at the end.

Enjoy the day/night, everyone!

That's what I meant Vanessa, in this Goodreads group you can create your own log/page/thread, however you want to call it, to update on your readathon. I'm sure if you don't know how to create one the mods can create one for you. Or I can if you'd like me to. That way you can post your updates on your own page (if you'd like of course). Just send me a message.

Ann A (readerann) | 909 comments I am getting excited for the October RAT (haha)! So far, the planets seem to be aligned for me having no distractions whatsoever - including the hubby, who will be traveling.

For a warm-up, I'm setting a goal of reading 3,000 pages (100 per day) for the 30 days prior. I'll keep track here.

Day 1: 77, Day 2: 106, Day 3: 65, Day 4: 114, Day 5: 127, Day 6: 92, Day 7: 86, Day 8: 102
Day 9: 75, Day 10: 142, Day 11: 127, Day 12: 111, Day 13: 104, Day 14: 95, Day 15: 55
Day 16: 53, Day 17: 34, Day 18: 32, Day 19: 84, Day 20: 104, Day 21: 73, Day 22: 135
Day 23: 59, Day 24: 56, Day 25: 82, Day 26: 170, Day 27: 141, Day 28: 80, Day 29: 176
Day 30: 83

Total so far: 2,840 pgs
I got close to the goal, but am stopping here because I have finished everything I had in progress. Now I can start fresh for the readathon!
