‼️ PLEASE TAKE NOTE! ‼️With the challenge ending on Sunday, June 4th, there will a minor change to the last task. Beginning on Friday, June 2nd, when teams post their completions and get a new task, they will all get the same task - except for the final teams racing for the win. Those teams will all get the same task, but a different one from the other teams so they will not be able to prep in advance for the dash to the finish. For this task, instead of just completing it, you will continue reading to add to the total number of books read for your team. There will be no passes for the last task and to complete it, every team member must complete a book for the task and contribute to the overall book count. So, the task is considered ‘completed’ when every team member has read one book for the task, but you can continue reading in order to increase your overall book count for the task in case that is needed for a tie breaker. In the event that two or more teams are tied based on the number of tasks completed, the team with the highest book count will win The Amazing Race Team Challenge!
On a separate note, I will be extremely busy when this challenge is wrapping up. I will be visiting family on the other side of the country for my niece's graduation and celebration. (Great timing, I know... 🤷🏻♀️) I will be posting the final tasks in the Q&A thread, not in individual team threads. Once you have posted that you have completed your prior task, you may begin the final task. It may also take me some time to get all the team threads checked and the final results posted, so thank you in advance for your patience!
**Remember if your completion posts are incomplete or have the wrong page count, your books will not count. So help each other out by checking the posts!**
Posting that your team has completed the last task in the Q&A thread is not necessary as I will be checking all the team threads when the challenge ends.
‼️ If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. ‼️

I've got a question, MKat.For those teams whose next task is due to be assigned tomorrow (Thursday) morning, do we begin our final task Saturday morning per the 48 hour rule, or if we post early, may we begin on Friday?

I have assigned tasks through here, if I missed something let me know! I will try to check in again before graduation, but otherwise it will be much later today.

Hi Kat, one of our team member has completed
. It's an audible original so there is no page number. Also, it's set in UK but there's no location tag. Is there a way we can still use this for our task?

A: If the audio only book is at least 6 hours long - it will count as a book towards a book total or as 150 pages towards the page total depending on what the task requires.
I would need someway to confirm that the book is set in the UK for it to be used, I didn't see anything in the precis though.

(Especially on my phone - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) But these don't represent real flowers, so I would say no to that. Sorry.
For a task that requires to be taken place in the UK, would Magenta Mine work? There is no location/precis note but it is the second book in a series that takes place in the Scotland Highlands (as per the series title)? The first book has a location put and it takes place in the same town?

Just a reminder - I will be posting the last task in this thread tomorrow for all teams except Team 8 and Team 13. I will not be checking completions until sometime over the weekend though. Once you post in this thread that your team has completed their current task, you can begin the last task.
