I thought I was the only one who feels some of the stories here are either connected to the author or some close relatives of hers. And this feeling was heightened when I read the appreciation to see "broken by the mad man."

i know women in my own life with stories nearly as bizarre and tragic as those as Damilare's characters so if she's speaking from experience i wouldn't be suprised.
