I need suggestions for reads that have a Highlander theme. This can include time travel of course, but I am looking for a convincing heroine and a devilish hero.

I just finished a first time read from this author and I thought it was good.
There's also Moning's Highlander series

Have you read the MacLauchlan Berserker series by Kerrigan Byrne? It's a PNR/Historical Romance, set in the 15th century Scottish Highlands. Sexy and action packed.

Gotta love Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series. I need a fainting couch. Where are my smelling salts? Lord have mercy.
Another series that deserves attention, no time travel just historical romance, is Connie Brockway's "McClairen's Isle" series, I think written in the 90s. A good deal darker than Brockway's more recent historicals, but there is always a welcome note of wit in her books when you need it most.
An unusual aspect of Brockway's McClairen's Isle series is that the featured family - two brothers and a sister - are on the side that would traditionally be the bad guys in a Highlander tale. They are English aristocrats who are occupying Clan McClairen's land, awarded to their father by the English crown. The first book has one of the sons ordered to bring Rhiannon McClairen to his father. You can imagine how happy she is to be carted off to her own family castle by the son of its usurper. Great conflict and chemistry. I love Connie Brockway's historicals!

Good series, for all you mentioned. Big fan of hers as well.

Karen Marie Moning's Highlanders series are time-traveling. As mentioned earlier, a very good series.
If you're into Highlanders with paranormal, I would recommend Donna Grant's Druid Glen series. The covers make me glad I read ebooks, but otherwise, very well written!

Have you tried her Banshees series? I read the first but haven't tried the others yet.

I agree. I think her new series seems to be better with the special ops highlanders.
