My review for
The Secret Daughter of Venice by Juliet Greenwoodhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Kicking off this week with the excellent historical mystery
The Paris Mistress by Mally Becker https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished The Lioness of Boston
by Emily Franklin. The book is about the life of Isabella Steward Gardner. Truthfully I did not like it that much. I didn't like the style of write ( a lot of it was letters written to friends) I have never found her a very interesting person but just someone who collects thing (I live in the Boston area and not a big fan of her muesum). Some friends like it a lot more than I do.
Here is my 3.48 rounded to 3 stars review of Murder in the White House by Margaret Truman.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Here is my 3.93 rounded to 4 stars review of The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Romantic Comedy
Cute, Light, and Entertaining
I finished a debut author The Socialite's Guide to Murder
by SK Golden. It was just okay for me. I felt although author was trying to make a book similar to CJ Archer's series. This book is set in 1957 New York. So different setting and time period. Other than the little girl, Amelia, in the book I was not too fond of the characters.
My review for
A New Doctor at Orchard Cottage Hospital by Lizzie Lanehttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my 4.21 rounded to 4 stars review of Dead Against Her by Melinda Leigh:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Here is my 4.19 rounded to 4 stars review of Liar's Point by Laura Griffin:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Police Procedural / Crime Novel with some Romance
Engaging characters
2nd half had plenty of tension, suspense, and intense action
Good balance between mystery, investigation, and romance
I'm starting off the week with
The Last Thing Claire Wanted by Karin Fitz Sanford. This is a darker mystery, but I enjoyed it. It helped that I had fun with the setting - it was set in the town where I grew up.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review for
Weekends with the Sunshine Gardening Society by Sophie Greenhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my 3.3 rounded to 3 stars review of Girl Abroad by Elle Kennedy:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
New Adult / Coming-of-Age / Romance/ subplot of a Mystery
Cute, but predictable romance with some humor
The research project mystery was the best part of the book.
Raffles: The Amateur Cracksman

I just bought a Kindle to ease my eyeballs from all the Libby reading I've been doing. First one I am reading on it is
The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown. I plan to do the KU free trial soon to read a bunch of stuff I have been marking TBR for a while now.
I finished a delightful book The Little Italian Hotel
by Phaedra Patrick. Lovely setting in Italy. I group of 6 strangers take a trip to Italy and work through their problems while their friendships grow. Well written great setting and characters.
Here is my 3.09 rounded to 3 stars review of Prepared For Rage by Dana Stabenowhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
International Suspense / Terrorism
Coast Guard Series, but can read as Standalone

My least favorite of her 3 series that I have read
Mysteries were interesting, but the pacing was slow.
The book should have trigger warnings listed.
I've got a rare non-fiction book today, but a book written by a mystery author -
