Alexis notices Candi at her café and assumes she’s a reluctant sexual assault survivor. Did you suspect she was there for a different purpose or assume the same as Alexis? When she told Alexis of her father’s need for a transplant and that she might be a potential donor, what were your thoughts about how Alexis should react and handle the situation?

I agreed with Alexis. I thought Candi was a survivor who needed to talk to someone, but she was too embarrassed to do so.

I was angry with Candi and her father. Neither one of them wanted anything to do with Alexis until they needed something from her. Alexis was shocked and hurt, but stepping away and asking for time to think was a smart decision.
