Ep 3We finally got to see Sturmhond revealed as Prince Nikolai. I was not surprised bc I've already read the books, but they did his reveal real well.
When Kaz snapped at Wylan and told him to go with Jesper again, I was fangirling again lol. Kaz ships them both and he don't even try to hide it. I mean, I'd put Wylan and Jesper together every possible time so I can't blame Kaz.
YALL THE KANEJ BATHROOM SCENE FROM CROOKED KINGDOM WAS SORT OF RECREATED!!! When Kaz offered to do it, I screamed "IT'S THE KANEJ BATHROOM SCENE TEASER OMG AHHHHHH!!!!!". Like, I couldn't believe they kind of recreated this scene from the books. It was perfect, I couldn't wanted it any more different (we better get the actual bathroom scene including the "I would have come for you" speech in the adaptation of Crooked Kingdom)
The Wesper scenes in this episode >>>. They were PERFECT!!! "Are you scared for me, Jesper Fahey?" SHDHEHJJJWDDFDUDJD OMG I DIED OF FANGIRL!!! And Jes's face when Wylan played the piano asjfjdkjfjlldjsssghdsghhfhodn I COULD FEEL THE FUCKING ATTRACTION FROM JESPER THE WHOLE TIME!!!! Kit and Jack have ended me.
During the scene when Nina is watching Matthias fight, I remember the books saying that the judge/host/referee person spun a wheel and whatever the needle landed on was the person/animal the prisoner had to fight. They didn't do that and I was a lil confused lol.

I’ve only watched the first 3 episodes and I’m loving it so far! THE KANEJ BATHROOM SCENE OMG WE FINALLY GOT IT!! The Jesper and Wylan moments are adorable I’m so excited to continue watching season two!

I literally agree with everything u said here, I’m so glad were getting an insight on the show about Brekkers past. I’m kinda disappointed about the changes that are inaccurate from the books but it’s fine.
I'm not done with ep 4 but I need to address the (MAJOR SPOILER WARNING) Wesper kiss.What. The. Hell. Were. The. Writers. Thinking. The Wesper kiss was WAY TOO EARLY!!! Like, I was hoping for a slow burn romance between them.
I don't intend to put any kind of blame on Kit or Jack bc they were only doing their jobs. The writers are the ones I'm kind of mad at. Like, I was hoping for the first Wesper kiss to be straight from the Crooked Kingdom scene after Wylan gets tailored back into himself. I was wanting Jesper to be all pissed bc of his grisha powers and Wylan to make him breathe and then kiss him. I wasn't expecting the kiss scene we got in the show. I mean, I'm glad they kissed, but it's not how I wanted it to happen. I wanted their first kiss to be entirely book accurate.
I'm also really confused. Jesper said that he and Wylan met before the events of s2 ep 1. I don't understand when that would have been. Was Jes talking about the stablehand at the Little Palace that he had seggs with? I don't know how else they could have met unless if they met offscreen and we didn't see it? Can someone explain that?

Ep 4This was a fucking roller coaster. One moment I was so happy the next minute I was shocked to the core. I already shared my opinion on the Wesper kiss but I'm gonna say it again: IT WAS TOO EARLY. Change my mind.
When Alina punched Nikolai Hermione Granger style, I was cackling. It was too perfect.
I was a little confused if Nina betraying Kaz was part of his plan for taking down Pekka Rollins. I think it was bc he didn't seem mad at her afterwards, but I'm not 100% sure.
The action in this show is just amazing. All of the stunts and fights are so cool.
the only thing that is on my mind rn is the Wesper kiss. I can't stop thinking about how perfectly imperfect it was. I noticed the Crooked Kingdom elements playing into the show. First it was the Kanej bathroom scene then it was the Wesper kiss and now its Kaz making Pekka think his son was going to die. I guess they included those just in case if there's no hope for a Crooked Kingdom adaptation and they wanted to do those specific scenes just so the audience can get a lick of what Crooked Kingdom would have been like (at least Matthias didn't die so yay)

Ep 6 "There are those who drown us. And there are those who pull us out." - Kaz Brekker. THIS QUOTE TORE ME APART I-
"I want to be with you." - Jesper Fahey. The way I SCREAMED when he said that. That quote alone pretty much made me forgive the writers for not keeping Wesper as book accurate as possible. UGH IT WAS SO PERFECT!
The way I screamed when Inej had that vision while she was under the poison. This basically confirms that Inej likes Kaz.
KAZ'S VISION WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE POISON ASNFNTJFN!!!!! I was crying bc I felt so bad.
The hardest part to watch was Inej having to save Kaz with skin to skin contact. She hated to do it, but it was the only way to save him AND IT BROKE ME TO PIECES!!!!!
I only have two more episodes left until it's over. I DON'T WANT IT TO END

can we talk about how they used the fucking map? i actually she’s a tear when i saw it. any real grishaverse fan knows how freaking important that map is, and the fact that they used it in there was wholesome.

Ep 1:
When it was revealed that Tante Heleen was murdered, I was happy but also kind of disappointed. I feel like she was killed off wayyyyy too early. She makes appearances throughout SoC and CK so it doesn't make sense why they killed her off. I wonder how the writers will write those scenes if we get the SoC spinoff (yes it's confirmed we will get the spinoff if s2 does as well as the first season so stream it non-stop!).
When Wylan and Jesper met for the first time, I freaked out lol (more on my thoughts of show!Wesper during my ep 2 thoughts). I love their chemistry so far!
Nina Zenik was perfectly cast CHANGE MY MIND!!!!! She has more sass this season and I'm LOVING IT! I love her and Inej's developing friendship and I look forward to seeing it grow this season. Dani has it down to a T! Also I know you guys are wondering why Nina has brown hair. We all keep forgetting that in the beginning of SoC, she had brown hair. She became a redhead when she and Inej stole 2 girls' identity from the Menagerie when they were sneaking into the Ice Court. She's not supposed to be a redhead YET.
I love how the show is starting to incorporate why Kaz won't touch people skin to skin. We got our first flashback of young Kaz and Jordie, and I was so happy but so sad bc we have to watch Jordie die. Also I noticed that young Kaz had blondish hair. I remember reading a headcanon where Kaz actually is blonde but dyes his hair to match his dark aesthetic lol. I'm kind of wondering if that had an influence on young Kaz's hair color.
Nikolai's introduction was kind of boring and not as exciting as I had hoped it would be. I kind of was waiting for him to be introduced on his ship like in the book (tbh s2 is not as book accurate as the first season so that kind of sucks but I'm liking the new changes). I'm really liking Patrick's Nikolai. I can't wait to see more Nikolai aspects from him later on!
I would be lying if I said Tolya and Tamar's intro scene wasn't hot. Like DAMN. That was a lot better introduction than Nikolai's.
Ep 2
The scenery during the scene where Alina, Mal, and Nikolai's crew fight the Sea Whip was really beautiful! I'm all about pretty scenery so that made me happy.
Now we can talk about the scene at the diner with the Crows. It was so in character omg. Nina's sass during it was just the cherry on top. I simply can't describe how amazing it was. That's probably my favorite s2 scene so far.
When Kaz put Wylan and Jesper together to follow Pekka Rollins, I was so excited I screamed like a mf volcra. And that scene where they ended up on top of each other ohmygod I was fangirling so hard. I just hope that nothing happens between them too early. Just accidental touches and lingering looks are all I want for right now. They better save the kiss for when Crooked Kingdom is adapted. I knew Kit and Jack would be the perfect Wesper and they are putting my expectations through the roof.
