I loved it, it kept me on my toes the whole time and just when I think I know what's going on BAM something new happens. It definitely got my heart racing a couple times and I loved the way she ended the book, leaves me begging for more lol

I like the plot so far, the scarlet guard literally give me the chills, I love their moto. Things are making sense so far, I'm super interested to see how Mare develops and why she in particular is different!

I really enjoyed the plot! I thought it was so entertaining and it really took me for a ride with all those plot twists! I can't wait to see more of The Scarlet Guard!

Also, am I the only one that was wishing there was a map of the world?

The end of the book is literally insane. I'm still pondering over it. I won't say anything specific so I don't spoil it, but be prepared for an "OMG" moment!

THAT PLOT TWIST, or should i say twists?? I almost threw my book through the window, wanting to go and smash some glass... But I loved it! The blood diversity, the thing that changed the way the Reds lived, how they seemed like trash towards the Silvers who had their powers and royalty and fancy things. I was swooning over Cal and Maven... I cant wait for the second book.

Also, I had a theory that the silvers have silver blood because they're children of the gods?? That could explain why the royals have abilities/gifts/power of destruction??

Yes I totally agree with the gods things, because it was kind of hinted at, but not really, and it just had me theorizing! ;)

Don't even get me started on the plot twist. x.x

The "plot twists" bothered me, and although I want to read the next book, that is because I want to know more, currently I feel like I did not get enough information about the characters. I like them but I was not as emotional about this book as I would have liked.

I was talking to my husband about this book when I remembered one thing I forgot to say, there was one big problem. (view spoiler)[ Mare's abilities are different than everyone's she can create her own energy and because of that the silence power should not cut off all of her power. Because the silvers all pull from their surroundings the silence power would simply cut off that supply. Mare should have been able to use her powers even then. (hide spoiler)]

If you finished the book read Rhea's spoiler because that's bothering me so much and kind of defeats the purpose of even saying how "special" Mare was. Other than that at the beginning I felt like it was just another generic war between two groups (especially like thg) but given the huge twists I was pretty entertained. Very excited for the next one.
