R.A. Alyse | 14 comments Hello,

Could the series "Ashes" please be created and Fall into Ashes: Ashes, Book One, Among the Ashes: Ashes, Book Two, and Rise from Ashes: Ashes, Book Three please be added to it?

I tried but it told me i wasn't allowed to create series.

Thanks!

R.A. Alyse | 14 comments Hi - the series was created under the wrong author's name... It should be R.A. Alyse...

Martin | 35954 comments The only way to create a series is from a link in editing mode on the first book. It is automatically added to the author page as credited on that book. The book was originally published under author name R.A. Aulenbach

R.A. Alyse | 14 comments Then can the series be deleted? It has created a whole new author page that should not exist. I do not use that name and I do not want to confuse my readers. Thank you.

Martin | 35954 comments It cannot have created an author page as it is assigned automatically by the system based on the author shown for first book in the series.

I can't do anything today anyway as I have used my daily quota of edits so can't even access book edit history to see what is happening. Maybe another librarian will resolve this in the meantime, otherwise I will look into it further tomorrow.

R.A. Alyse | 14 comments Okay, thank you for replying.

My R.A. Alyse page used to have the name R.A. Aulenbach. I changed that months ago when I moved to my pen name. The R.A. Alyse Goodreads author page was the one I always used and the only one linked to anything.

However, now there is another author page of R.A. Aulenbach that has been created and added to all my books that was never there before. I cannot erase it, claim it, or do anything with it to show that it is not an accurate name.

Hopefully this can be solved because I never expected this to become an issue...

Martin | 35954 comments I will look at the edit history on the books tomorrow to find out what has happened.
I only used the standard link to create a series from the first book as linked above so can't offer any explanation until I view the history.

However, as far as I know, if the books were originally published as R.A. Aulenbach they should still be shown on a page with that name and the new pen name should be given as second author on the later editions only.

Martin | 35954 comments I can now see the edits on the release.
Another librarian had corrected the books to show original author name first, I added the series, and then you edited the names again.
Please familiarise yourself with site rules for author names on book listings and then correct these to meet Goodreads standards.
