i am far from finishing the book but I like it as I go further. i have heard that the book is a standalone and not part of a series. i would like to read more books similar to this. the last book I've read that I really like and was a standalone is Elantris by Brandon Sanderson.

I'm not really sure this needs a separate thread. I see you posted in the other thread, which has at least once suggestion that's stand alone that I saw on a quick skim.

So I'm going to lock this thread, as I don't think we really need two.
