Hi everyone - I was going to hold the '15' to be that 1 & 5 are directly next to each other, however on review of some of my shelves, I've decided to make it easier and allow the combination to be a '1', '5' and '9' somewhere in the publication date and page numbers of a single edition of the book you select.

Sorry I was having issues posting this morning and kept getting errors so once when I was yet again starting over backed up to far and got on the wrong thread.
I'm up to date on checking all the threads. Everything seems under control with just a few corrections required :)I'll try to keep more on top of the checking from here on out.

☘KathyD☘ wrote: "hey Jane...just to confirm, the date is supposed be on or after October 1, 2023, correct?"Umm - no. October 1, 2022.
The book has to have been published after 1 October 2022 so you have 6.5 months of new books to pick from.
We haven't yet hit October 1, 2023 so you'll be waiting 6 months before you could read the task :)

😶🌫️
Hi Jane - I have a few questions for you that came up when I was prepping for the last call...First, your spreadsheet with the team progress isn't open and available to view. It said I needed access.
Second, there must be some sort of glitch going on but both Karen and I are seeing it. There are no teams listed in message #6 on the signup thread and no team members listed on teams 1-7 even though none of those message appear to have been edited. 🤷🏻♀️ Seems really weird, but there is no way I can find to know who is still on the teams and available to use for Option 2 in the last week.
And finally, for this theme:
11. Jet lag - drowsiness after moving through too many time zones too quickly.
Read a book where the MC travels to a different country.
Would going 'off planet' qualify in a futuristic book?
Interlude in Death

I'll have a look at the spreadsheet later today. It was uploaded as a shared link but I'll check again.
I noticed the last of team names in the threads the other day! Was wondering what was going on since I had them all entered and ticked off when members joined the thread.
For a space book, travelling to a different planet will work.

Thanks Jane!
I've updated the spreadsheet access to share with anyone with the link. Please let me know if you still can't access it.(PS I haven't updated the completions for the last couple of days.)
Jane (PS) wrote: "I've updated the spreadsheet access to share with anyone with the link. Please let me know if you still can't access it.(PS I haven't updated the completions for the last couple of days.)"
I was able to check it. 😊
I'm going to call the final task for this round of Pass The Parcel at
4pm US EST
or just after. That is 6am for me ;)For this last week, players who wish to use Option 2 will need to pick from a team that I post with the final task. That is, if you select option 2 it cannot come from your own teammates' shelves, but from a different team's players' shelves that I will specify in the final task call.
Option 3 (Pass) is not available in the last week.
All posts from prior weeks must be completed to be in the running to win. (No outstanding completions from prior weeks.) AND all your selection and completion posts must include all the necessary information required in msg 3 of each team's thread. I will not be letting you know if you have missed an element or the page numbers don't match the edition that you have posted, etc.
Once you think your team has won, someone needs to post IN THIS THREAD, that they have completed the task.
I will then check the posts to ensure they are correct. If they are not (and require correction) another team can nip in and claim the win if their posts are correct.
I've updated the spreadsheet for the link in msg 1.Pretty much every team is in there with a chance to claim the win.
"MountainKat wrote: "I noticed the list of team names in the threads the other day! Was wondering what was going on since I had them all entered and ticked off when members joined the thread."@Jane - regarding this part, about the time you created the threads, there was a glitch going on with GR that posts with edits were not showing up with the edits, even though the info was there. I think all you have to do to have the text all show up is click on the edit button, add a small new edit (like a space somewhere) and save - this should make it so we can all see the list of team members on all the team threads.
Hi again, Jane - Can you approved ahead of time (just in case) for thes themes: 17. Caffeine artificially mutes the sleep signal to keep you awake
Read a book that has a MPG tag of Horror, Thriller, Suspense, Mystery, Action or Adventure.
Will you accept Romantic Suspense or Cozy Mystery for the mpg?
4. Too little sleep swells a hormone that makes you feel hungry.
Read a book with food or drink on the cover.
This cover has a wine bottle and what appears to be a stylized spill of wine - would accept as a drink on the cover?
THANKS!

Yes to both :)
never mind! 😁😊
Week 11Option 1
1. Author: Matthew Walker
Read a book with the letters M & W in the book title and/or author's name.
Option 2
Key date: 9 December 2022
Read a book from a member of the specified team below your team on the following list. The book must have been read on or after this date and rated at least 3 stars.
4 Bookish Knights
6 If You Snooze, You Lose
7 Seven Silver Selkies
11 The Daydreamers
1 Dreaming for Book Boyfriends
2 BookwormZzz
9 Cloud 9 Readers
3 Read 'Em and Sleep
8 Sleepwalking Readers
5 Sleepreaders
10 No Rest While Reading
So for this last week, team 4 choses a book from team 6, team 6 from team 7 etc with team 10 chosing from team 4.
Series rule applies:
That is, if the book is in a series but does not match where you are up to, you may read another book from that same series
Option 3
No available in the final week.
A selection post must be made for whichever option you choose - INCLUDING A PASS
Refer msg 3 of your team thread for formatting of all 3 options.
☘KathyD☘ wrote: "hi Jane...if a character boards a cruise ship to an island, would that count for task 11?"No longer applicable, so I won't worry about answering as that is a bit dicey...
Remember - I will not be telling the members in their team threads if a selection or completion post is correct.I am looking for the format in msg 3 of each team's thread. It must state the week #, whether it is a selection or completion post.
If it is a selection post it must also show the book link, total pages and how it qualifies. If it is a completion, then it needs the book link, rating and review.
Congratulations!! Team 3 has taken the win for Round 20 of the Pass The Parcel Challenge.
