The Feast of the Goat
question
Little known historical fiction done in an unique style

Excellent book with an in depth fictional account of the events leading to the ouster of the dictator of the Dominican Republic - Rafael Trujillo. Its told from an eye of the sufferers of the regime ironically who resided on the very top of the power structure and yet were not immune to Trujillo's tyranny. Interesting aspect of the storytelling is how the past and present interwine cutting across the characters- this is really unique!
