[closed] 4+ months delays in book addition

This is honestly very sad from goodreads, I have 3-4 books that I tried to add in the library 3-4 months ago, I also sent 3-4 reminders for each
But nothing, no reply, no addition, nothing
Honestly it’s a disgrace, the old system was much much better , we could add our books by ourselves and everything was working fine..
I understand that the librarians are doing their best, but there should be some type of logic and some type of waiting list and waiting time system , how can someone wait for 4 months and still not get a reply or get the addition to the book they requested for addition

Duplicate post. The librarian asked for you to move your original post to this folder, not to start a new thread.

But now we are here, I can see several things wrong with your book requests.

First, you bump but do not edit the topic title to let us know the request is still open. Librarians see there have been replies and may think the request has already been handled, so will move to another request (there are too many requests to open each thread).

Secondly, you write title, author and publisher in all-caps. This means that a librarian will have to convert them to lower case instead of being able to copy-paste. This causes extra work for the librarian, not to mention that most of us do not have a Greek keyboard on our computer.

Thirdly, I see several instances where you write the author as LASTNAME FIRSTNAME instead of the other way around. The correct order on Goodreads would be Firstname Lastname. Again, for people not familiar with Greek names this is not always obvious, so the author name will be added incorrectly, which will also cause extra work to correct.

Hopefully this explains why your requests may have been passed by.

Ah, but you shouldn't have deleted the old comments. You could have just edited them.
