What Are You Currently Reading 2023 to 2025
I'm reading Voices of the Dead by Ambrose Parry
A very nice addition to the series, but to fully appreciate it, it's better to start with the first one in the series. I've been a fan since that first one!
Now starting CITY WALLS by Loren Estleman. This is the 31st novel in his long running series featuring Detroit private eye Amos Walker, whose been going strong since way back in 1980.
Now starting FOUND WANTING by Robert Goddard, another one of his stand alone mystery/thriller novels published back in 2008.
FinishedCherokee Gold
Heist, lost treasure, Cherokee, Map and search for the lost looted treasure.
A 4 star reading.

Now about 1/4 of the way through CITY OF DREAMS by Don Winslow, the second novel in his planned crime fiction trilogy where both the characters and storylines parallel those of The Iliad and The Aeneid. In the author's trilogy (which is expected to be his swan song) the Irish and Italian mobs in Providence, Rhode Island during the 1980s and 90's substitute for the Trojans and Greeks. It makes for some great reading so far.
Going a bit retro this week with THE FOURTH PROTOCOL by Frederick Forsyth. I haven't read a Forsyth book in several years and this one, published back in 1984, was adapted into a movie in 1987 starring Michael Caine and Pierce Brosnan. My wife really liked the movie, so I relented and picked up a paperback copy to sample.
I read Death at Whitewater Church by. Andrea Carter. It is book 1 in the series and I recommend it to cozy mystery fans. My 4 star review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I’m reading a book called Pretty Little Killers: The Truth Behind the Savage Murder of Skylar Neese by Daleen Berry
I Will Find You

I read Treacherous Strand by Andrea Carter It is book 2 in the Inishowen series. Both my wife and I enjoy this series and recommend it. My 4 star review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am currently reading Layla by Colleen Hoover and have The Housemaid by Freida McFadden ready to go next!
Now starting INDEPENDENCE SQUARE by Martin Cruz Smith. This is his latest hardcover release (and tenth novel overall) featuring Moscow homicide investigator Arkady Renko, who made his debut way back in 1981's GORKY PARK.Smith was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease way back in 1995 but kept it hidden from his editors and publishers for many years. I hope he continues to crank out the Renko books as his health will allow.
Smoke
is a worthy addition to the series but spreads the story equally between the characters. My four star review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A Twisted Love Story
was just so-so redeemed by a strong end. My 3.5 star review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I read The Well of Ice by Andrea Carter It is set in Donegal, Ireland and book 3 in the series. I have read books 1 and 2, but this could work as a stand alone.. My wife and I enjoy this series. My 4 star review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Now starting FIXIT by Joe Ide, the sixth novel in his ongoing series featuring amateur private eye Isaiah Quintabe. The first book in the series (IQ) was one of the best debut mystery novels I had ever read. The follow on novels have been anywhere from solid reads to very good, but none have quite matched the sizzle of the first novel... We will see how this new one stacks up.
The Alibi: A totally unputdownable psychological thriller with a shocking twist
