Jay Geary | 6 comments Is there a reason for the two books linked below to have separate records? The librarian note on the first is "Alternate cover edition of ISBN 9781534303492", that ISBN refers to Work ID 43307890 (the second record), but the two cover images are, to my eye, identical.

If there's no reason for the duplication, is there a mechanism by which the two records can be merged? Tried "Combine Editions," but they're both already considered editions of the same book so no joy there.

Apologies in advance if this is an overly simple question!

Scott | 8712 comments I don't know why that was done, but it requires a superlibrarian to merge.

Sounds good--reposted it as a request in the "Help me, Superlibrarian!" folder. Thanks for the quick reply!

You could have moved this thread to that folder instead of starting a new one.

Didn't realize that was possible, will do so in the future. Thanks!
