When Elias held Bree in her family’s house, he described her mother’s murder. Do you think he was there or something else?

Either he was there, or he knew someone who was.
It could be that he killed Jake - perhaps he was blackmailing him over. the cover-up? I cannot help but wonder why he didn't confess, as he had nothing to lose...

Its a bit of a loose end, but maybe we will still find out.

Elias obviously knew something because his recounting didn’t seem like a story he was repeating that came from someone else. It wouldn’t surprise me if Elias was the one who killed Jake. Either way, I now more strongly believe Jake didn’t kill himself. He wasn’t that kind of man.

I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get a resolution to this question. I believe Elias killed Jake. I don't know why Leigh didn't let him confess what he knows.
