I have just finished reading Cards On The Table by Agatha Christie. I vaguely remember reading it before. So the engagement and excitement of reading the book the second time and repeat value were retained. The movie is streaming on SonyLiv at present. The dramatized version is "based" on the novel and not a page to page adaptation. So there are differences from the book. Sir David Suchet as Hercule Poirot overshadows every other character. One cannot imagine anyone else enacting the role. There have been many Ms. Marple but only one Hercule Poirot. I will watch the movie now a second time as the book is fresh in my mind so that I can write a little more about the cinematic narration of the book.
