This project on genocide has made a huge impact on my life. Although Genocide is one of those topics that we don’t like to talk about because it is a bloody history. The thing is, we all need to know about Genocide and our history. Even the most brutal parts. This project has really opened my eyes to the world around me. It is surprising how much the world can keep a secret. The UN and US said that a Genocide was only a murder. They were correct but it was a murder of 800,000 people because of who they were, that is Genocide.
It’s also surprising how much they refuse to help people in need. The Tutsi and moderate Hutu didn’t get help for a long time. They watched their friends and family fall like flies to the ground. They went through pure torment and torture as they saw the dead on the floor. They themselves were slowly being eaten from guilt and pain. The world did nothing for them. They fought for themselves. This Genocide project wants to make me do something to spread the word.
This is my creation for my Genocide project. A Goodreads group where people can talk and spread the word of Genocides all around the world. so people can say there thoughts about it. This is about the Rwandan Genocide but any can be brought up. This is my way of spreading the word, to people everywhere.
