The Last Remains by Elly Griffiths appears to be the final book in this series. I shall miss all the characters, especially Ruth and Cathbad. It was fun having an archaeologist and a druid as characters in a crime series.

Crime of Fashion by Emma Rosenblum takes place at a fashion shoot where a minor underling is accused of stealing a necklace worth $3million! Poor kid.

The Nosy Neighbor is by Nita Prose, who wrote the popular The Maid, among other things. It seemed straightforward, but I should have known better. Nicely twisty.

I read Righteous Strife: How Warring Religious Nationalists Forged Lincoln's Union by Richard Carwardine It is not a mystery, but a scholarly book on how religious denominations reacted to the civil war, slavery and secession. I finished reading Mask of the Deer Woman, the debut novel by Laurie L. Dove. I'm still thinking about this heart touching book days later. 4.5 Stars My Review.


Heartbreaking story of the many missing and/or murdered Indigenous Women who are often ignored by law enforcement and news media. The magical realism element of Indian lore included in this story is beautifully written.
