Here is the discussion topic for Nonna's Book of Mysteries. The setting is in Renaissance Italy and centers around alchemy.

QNPoohBear | 120 comments I'm attracted to the title. My Italian grandmother was a very important person in my life but none of the libraries in the state have this book.

That's too bad your libraries don't have it :-( None of the libraries nearby me have it, except for a library that is far from me. I'll have to try inter-library loan or buy a copy for cheap on amazon (their used copies are about $4 or $5 including shipping I think!).
