Good to hear that it's good!I'm not sure this 3-week schedule is working - so far only the two of us finished the previous book... and we're already starting another.
I'll do my best to keep up with whatever schedule we agree on, but it might get a bit tricky for me now too - I've got a lot of work to do and the only time when I can work is when my kids are either at school or asleep - which is when I used to do most of my reading.
What would work best for you? I’m open. Then we can check with anyone else who is going to read this book. We can also wait another week for them to finish the other book.
I think 4 weeks worked better for the group, because more of us were participating. Anything used to work for me, because I had a lot of time on my hands, but now that I have hardly any, I'd rather go back to 4 weeks, too.Yes, let's start next week, maybe someone will join us :)
Are we starting this week? Here’s the Chapter breakdown:
Week 1: 1-10
Week 2: 11 - 17
Week 3: 18-26
Week 4: 27 - finish
I can already see checking in with all her exes is going to be a disaster. I always say no recycling! Her grandma is crazy for recommending this even though it worked for her, lol. Seth is an ass. Brandon seemed cool until she mentioned the family & kids and scared him away. She thinks she’s being direct but she’s definitely coming on way too strong. It’s too bad she won’t listen to Trevor’s advice. But I’m guessing she ends up with Trevor, lol. I totally love that’s she’s a book reviewer! So far this has been interesting. Curious to see what kind of insane adventure this book takes Tara on.
I think this whole second-chance-romance project is ridiculous (I agree that exes are exes for a reason, and unless there was a 3rd party involved in the break-up, there's no point in revisiting the subject), but Tara is so adorable that I don't mind reading about it :D I love how straightforward she is, even if it is on the verge of tactlessness. Seth is, indeed, an ass, but I can understand Brandon - he just doesn't want to settle down, nothing wrong with that as long as your partner wants the same things. Tara doesn't.
Tara is definitely interesting, I like that she's perky and a unique character although a tad bit ridiculous with her "quest". I do like that Trevor is the voice of reason and even points out how ridiculous it is that she kept literal trash from these past relationships. So far the book is a tad outlandish but overall enjoyable. I agree, I don't see the appeal of revisiting exe relationships, but I'm sure excited to see what she goes through with them.
I think I might be getting bored with Tara. Her exes are annoying and things are moving too slow with Trevor. I wonder if that almost kiss was even made up in her mind, lol. He is opening up to her more and she is a very sweet curious person. I totally thought Angie was his sister, hah! It says something that he introduced her to her.
I skimmed the rest of the book to finish it. I think I got bored because this book reminds me of the first book.
I'm so behind with the schedule... only halfway through, but so far I haven't changed my mind - Tara's exes project is just silly. But I like her cheerful personality and the slow-burning-romance side of the book.
I was getting bored as well. I knew right from the beginning that she would never actually get back with any of her exes and she was getting with Trevor. So in the end, it felt pointless even bringing that ex premise in since nothing exciting was done with it. There was a lack of chemistry between Tara and Trevor so honestly I actually was rooting for at least one of the exes to pull through. I must say that the epilogue was very well written and the best part of the book. So at least it ended on a high note.
I just finished and even though the hunting down the exes is probably the worst idea I’ve ever heard of, I really did like Tara. It has been a perfect light and easy read.
