It's interesting to see the minute detailing of all the scenes, and his descriptions of people is incredible. Sammy Pipps's reasoning is fabulous.

hi guys, first it's pleasant to read about the United East India Company somewhere other than my history textbook. and I am really getting impatient for something to happen, and I'm just short of midpoint.

for those who've read, what did you guys think for Sara? personally, I think she's really stupid

Finished it yesterday and really liked, not as much as The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, but it's good to know that the author is able to write something different and I like these kind of elaborated mysteries.

I finished the book, and for all my previous ranting,I actually liked the book. Didn't care too much for the end. The author took the easy way out here .
Arent Hayes is such a sweet, unassuming hero. I kept on going for him. Sara was OK, more stupid and outspoken than what I would expect from someone who's regularly abused.

About Old Tom, I definitely had my suspicions about the whole thing and I was right about it (as this is a non-spoiler discussion, I can't go in too many details). But I think that it was the co-conspirator who surprised me the most.

I read this a while ago and has forgotten most of it. I enjoyed The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle more.
