Please delete/merge page for an edition of a book that hasn't been published

Hi,
This edition https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... was never published by the author. She will be publishing the book with a new cover in May 2023, and this is the new page

I don't know if it's possible for you to delete the first version, even if it was never published. If not, can you please suggest solutions?

that pub date was years ago and readers have it marked as currently reading.
So I don't see super librarians being able to delete that, although they technically could. (might have been used as an ARC or similar)

It should be combined with the other edition though.
(which is not working currently)

In the past authors could try contacting support in similar cases.
(but should be combined first to save the existing shelvings)

The two editions are now combined.
If the author can guarantee that the older cover was never used as an ARC or any other type of release, we could delete it, but as Lachgas said, for a book that exists for so long we would need the Author's request.

Yes - it was NEVER used. (I am the publisher.) - The previous edition was NEVER used as an ARC or in any other version. The horror movie cover shown with the book was rejected.

The ARC is currently on NetGalley http://netgal.ly/tOX7oC and the book is being published in it's first edition on May 1, 2023.

Hi. I am Lucretia Grindle, the author of The Devil's Glove, to be published May 1, 2023 by CasaCroce Press. This book has NEVER been published before, nor has any part of it been published in any format. The older cover was NEVER used in any format or in any kind of release. I am therefore requesting that you please delete it so CasaCroce's new cover is the only one associated with my book, The Devil's Glove by Lucretia Grindle.
