That's a shame for the book and the author. Can you alert the publisher to it? I should think they and the author would be very grateful as it clearly needs to be corrected.
Hi Carol, I would but the book is probably 15 years old. I’m sure they know about it. It doesn’t seem like an error that would affect only a few books. Just surprised there hasn’t been any discussion about it.

I know the book is over fifteen years old, but you should still contact Hyperion to complain and also to ask for a copy free of charge that does not have this issue. But yeah, it is strange that this has not been discussed or mentioned in reviews.
Maybe there's only one copy like this. The author and publisher have been waiting for fifteen years to give you your fantastic door prize! Or maybe a million dollars! You give the book back and it goes into The Fabulous Misprint Museum with a plaque with your name on it!

It’s the third book of a very popular series. And it’s not a small unknown publisher. It’s Hyperion. I figured it had to be a noteworthy mistake. But I can’t find any mention of it in the internet. Has anyone ever heard of this?
