Ari | 24 comments Okay, I have something! It has a weird title but is full of the fairyland strange wimsy vibes from Alice. the Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In a Ship Of Her Own Making by Catherynne Valente. It’s amazing!!!

NothingButBooks (fantasylover123) Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige lmao. I realize it's not Alice in Wonderland, but the Wizard of Oz is close enough, right? Hopefully it is. Anyway, the main character is an "I didn't ask for this, but I guess I'll save the world, but I'll be annoyed about it the whole time" type hero. There's magic, and witches, and everything in Oz is turned on it's head (for example, the Good Witch of the West is evil, and all Dorothy's friends are terrifying, nightmare versions of themselves). It's a little dark and a little scary, but it's really good.
