I’m reading Dorian Gray rn so that’s what immediately comes to mind but really anything from the gothic genre normally has a villain/anti-hero MC. Withering Heights could also work if you consider Heathcliff to be the MC

I would say crime and punishment. The main character is a psychopath who thinks himself napoleon.
