Reading log journals!

I had made some sort of a progress bar some time ago but found that to be too cumbersome. In my daily log I do incorporate which books I plan to read that day.
I used to also have a separate log where I had three columns with: Rating | Book | Dates read. But my journal is nothing fancy and I keep it quite simple.

I like how you keep it simple, I don't think I could keep up with a progress bar or anything that would require me to sit with the journal for some time every single day, but adding it to my daily journaling, or even my schedule is something I think I can do.
Do you add notes about what you liked or why you liked it? So you can remember pieces if you want to reread or just to make sure you remember if it has been a while?

However, I do keep notes regarding educational/self-help books in a separate notebook. I like to write down things that I think will provide value to me in the future.
Maybe you could write down some quotes or short pieces on your favorite character per book in your journal. I have read the Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Carroll and I found that to be tremendously useful.
Has anyone made one themselves? or have any tips or recommendations for starting one? I thought it might be fun to have something physical instead of just using goodreads or the storygraph. :)
Feel free to link ones that are premade as well! it doesn't have to be DIY
