How to read many books with a busy life?

Hey So my life’s pretty hectic as well (college, courses and work)
What I do, since I don’t have a car and use the publics, I usually read on my way & I make sure I have some me time in the evening so I can read like 2-3 chapters before bed :)
I tend to read any chance I get but mostly on my way to work or going home from work & while I’m working out.

I recommend audiobooks, its how I have been able to read in college while also focusing on school. I listen when I'm walking to class, doing , mindless tasks, etc.
Four things I did last year that helped me read over a hundred books in a year and might help you. 1. Created a bedtime routine which included zero screen time and at least 30 mins of reading.
2. Started getting audio books from Libby
3. I bring my kindle everywhere I go.
4. have a book going in each format always ( e-read, physical and audio)
i also have a pretty busy schedule as i have 2 jobs. i read around 10 books a month, generally. the biggest thing for me is i pretty much read whenever i have free time. i always have a book with me. so if i'm on public transportation, im reading. if i'm eating alone, i'm reading. if i'm walking on the treadmill, i'm reading. i try my best to set aside time before bed to read, sometimes that leads me staying up wayyy too late if the book is really good tho haha.
Hi!! I am super busy as well - work a full time job and do classes on the side and also have taken on Spanish classes. I have found my favorite place to read is my bed - therefor I always read before I go to bed. I have been also favoring books that have shorter chapters to help me feel like I’m not stuck in a chapter for so long…. I also read on my breaks at work (but I work from home so it’s super easy to just go lay in bed on my breaks and read)
try reading shorter books, and read every time you have free time, even if it's just a couple minutes
I’m an avid audiobook listener which helps with my busy schedule! I can get ready in the morning and drive to work and listen, or go to the gym and crush my reading and gym goals, and even listen while showering and doing that nighttime routine! Multitasking to the max hahahI know that’s not for everyone though, my bestie hates audiobooks. So I’d say even just carving out 10 minutes before sleep or when you wake up! Jumpstart or end your day with something that you enjoy 😊
Try e-books too if you haven’t yet. If you’re a public transportation type then you can read a little bit on your commute, or even during bathroom or lunch breaks at work/between classes/during any downtime.
I personally love that e-books and audiobooks (or subscriptions like kindle unlimited/audible) are more often than not less expensive than buying paper/hard backs! So not only am I able to fit them into my schedule, but I’m also spending less. A major win on all fronts in my opinion.
And then of course just sticking with titles you’re actually enjoying! Don’t be afraid to DNF.
Hope this helps! 🫶

its pretty easy, i read while walking on the treadmill or on the bike.
My advice is to always carry a book with you and also adjust to what you're reading preferences are. For example, on my commute to work and back home I will listen to an audiobook in the car while I drive. At work, I will listen to an audiobook when I can. If I'm at home, then I have books to read and I will set aside time if/when I can throughout the day on days that I'm off work to read physically. If I'm doing household chores, then I will listen to an audiobook while I clean or cook, etc. At night before bed, I will try to get in some reading time, whether that's 10 mins, 30 mins, or an hour, and I'll read on my kindle so that I don't disturb my partner with any lights being on when they're needing to sleep. I've found that I read faster on my kindle for some reason...it's magical I can't explain it. Audiobooks have been a saving grace to get through books because I can listen while I'm driving, working, or cleaning. It's a great way to multi-task. It's also important to put a book down if you're not enjoying it. Don't spend time on books you're not looking forward to reading or you're making yourself push through. Sometimes DNF'ing will be your best friend. Also, if you're in a slump scroll through booktok or bookstagram or booktube to get recs or for some reading inspiration.
I usually skip reading in weekdays and read during the weekend but if I find some time to read on weekdays I will do so.
I just read when im free. Or when I'm in a car or just in a cafe. I just bring a book or save an ebook on my phone
for the few last months while having practice every day (plus school) I’ve been reading in school when possible (especially during those boring classes) on the bus AND bus stop, on the way to school and practise but mostly i just sacrificed about an hour of my sleep schedule. It also helps if you don’t tab or annotate books and leave phone on the other way of the room on do not disturb so you wont get distracted and just don’t procrastinate, rather than watch tiktok for half and hour go read that chapter! hope it helps 🫶

I am a full time college student and I am having a hard time balancing reading and schoolwork. I want to be able to read the books on my tbr list. Do you guys have any advice for how I could possibly read 1+ book(s) in a week while balancing a busy life?
