#1 - I will try an look, but I do not remember the rule on if the cover trumps ISBN, ISBN trumps cover, or first thing attached to the record takes precedence, because the ISBN attached was not changed, but the cover was here first, then somebody attached the ISBN.If Z remembers the answer and can post it or work on it that would be great.
On another note, is that cover just discolored, because the below amazon link has the same ISBN, and looks better.

The system accepted it and whomever entered all of those false ISBN's ran with it.
Doesn't matter which cover you use as long as the price 1.25 and check digit 70706 match.

re 1, it's a bogus ISBN. doesn't link to anything beyond fictiondb.com, which is an unauthorized source of info on Goodreads. when that happens, i look at the logs, and if one user made several changes simultaneously that included that bogus ISBN, then i try to revert all of those changes at once, since they're all likely sourced from fictiondb (and usually wrong). the cover image on this one clearly shows a different edition number in the top right corner, further confirming this is a bogus edition.For this edition, since we have a user's book-in-hand to confirm details AND because the log doesn't show when or where the cover image came from, I went ahead and overwrote the bad info and made it an ACE with the correct ISBN, thus matching the cover image (which usually takes precedence over all, assuming it was added before or concurrently with the bad info and/or at the time of edition creation).
Also Philip, watch out for bad covers on Amazon. I notice dyou uploaded cover images for another edition of this book with ISBN 0263722902. 0-263 is mills & boon, not harlequin. so the cover image on amazon for that edition is clearly wrong, probably provided erroneously by third-party seller.
re 5, exact same situation as in 1. in this case, cover image was uploaded at the same time as edition creation (with a bogus ISBN), and both the image and the ISBN are from fictiondb.com. the edition number in the top right corner of the book confirms the purported ISBN does not match the cover.since i can be certain that both the bad isbn and cover image originated from an unapproved source, i've removed both. i replaced the cover image w/ one from amazon (an approved source), but it's lousy. Edwina, if you have thisi book still handy, can you scan and upload a picture of yours?

re 14: can you check your ISBN? it's not strictly kosher. sometimes ISBNs aren't issued correctly, but according to the ISBN rules, it should be something like '037370559X' instead.
