I'm really enjoying the story so far. I won't lie, the first chapter was kind of slow for me but its really picked up and I can't wait to get back into it. I really like some of the side characters, especially Manchee, and Todd is growing on me. I think the world is really interesting. It makes me think of the settlers that came over from Europe to find "the New World" and how things played out with the Natives. I really want to find out more of the history behind the story. The writing is strange but nice. I normally don't like when authors write the narrative in the characters accent, but I think Ness does an amazing job with it. It isn't clunky or awkward and has added to the story for me.

What are you guys thinking?
